They are an extremely small club you cant take good numbers away if you dont have the fans

Their home crowds are bigger than Dale's. Percentage wise we take more of our home support away than any club in the country more often than not, Fleetwood's lack of travelling fans has always been notoriously bad.

Initial allocation of 1466 sold out for Walsall. Extra allocation of 800 been sent up. Last decent following for a while as Millwall, Colchester and Swindon next 3 games with Millwall being a Tuesday night with the beam back being shown. I would estimate 200 tops going there on a Tuesday and then 600-700 at both Swindon and Colchester

Their 'big' home crowds are superficial though, how many actual fans (i.e. ones who spend time, effort and money to go to away games) will they have and not just people turning up to watch a bit of league footy? I'm guessing it would be very small.

Have to remember a decade ago Fleetwood were virtually a pub side and have had a rapid rise (8 or 9 promotions?) imagine many of their home support didn't know they even existed a decade ago so would be hard to get a real hard core following away like most FL clubs. Appalling support by FL standards but are not a typical FL club historically.

Well, we played them at Valey Parade not too long ago, but I know what you mean.

We always seem to travel well to Blackpool. I was actually there the last time we met (2006) when we got spanked 4/5-1.
