Bellends then. 4 on 2 for a start even if you wanted a scrap. Bet your lad felt happy. Said something to them and his dad ends up getting clipped.
To be fair it was only the 1 idiot but it did come unexpectedly, think my lad extremely naive and wet behind the ears yet , not quite got his degree in CP Company and Stone Island yet !!!

No need for them give it the big un and no need for his racist reply.
The bonus was i was asked of my health by a stunning barmaid from the local boozer who witnessed it , but then became the butt of jokes once word got round.

I am street wise enough to be nowhere near the Blades travelling hordes that day.

Think you'll get 4500 at our place as per Wolves 3 years ago.
Walsall brought the same last game of the season last year before they got tonked in play-offs :bl:
Hopefully by then you will of won the League and mentally be supping cocktails and dreaming of beating Wednesday next season to give us some sort of semblance of even getting a point.
I dont think they will be given 4500 i think they will section off the front 2 rows all across so you get about 3800. 1 reason for that would be not wanting them celebrating on the pitch and its easier get on the pitch if your in the front rows and 2 is they wont want more away fans than home and we struggle get 4k home fans at the moment so i cant see vale allowing them having more fans especially with there likely to be trouble. Also expect about 500 police be there and away fans be given the social club by the ground all to them selves.

If you want to make a few quid for Cheltenham stick some on you winning, I know the odds will be rubbish but it will be like printing money

1/2 when I last looked not a fucking chance I'm lobbing a load on that price for a football match. I do expect us to win though but that doesn't mean a great deal.

I care, do you know where the extra tickets are? I don't really want coventry fans sitting behind me throwing plastic pigs

They will not be anywhere near Oxford fans.

There will also be no pigs being thrown!

We are wondering whether they will give you the upper tier that we won't sell. this would be from the half way line opposite the dug out. 526 and down. Would rather have you guys there than no-one.

Still not been since the euros but am going up to Glasgow for the night. I doubt I'll bother with the match , more so just a day/night on the piss in Glasgow. I might consider Malta away but other than that I can't see me going till Russia. They pissed me off a hell of a lot that night in nice. Are you doing either of them?

Im out the country until first week of June but got Scotland and Lithuania booked up. Russia will depend on where we are drawn to play for me I reckon.

Lithuania was probably the worst place I've ever been. Shit choice of bars, absolutely shocking lager in them all, shithole of a ground and a pointless match we are guaranteed to win.

I hated it as did most of us you might feel different though.

Ha, i'm only there for 2 days, i'm sure i'll find somewhere to get suitably pissed, might look at things to do out of the city.

No they didn't. They were already champions.

That's how I remember it too. Plus, they didn't make it on to the pitch. Vale fans got on there first to stop them letting it happen. One lad ended up getting sent down for a few weeks for showing his arse to the Brighton fans. Haha.

Walsall didn't sell out 4,500 last season either. They brought about 3,300 I think. Remember there were spaces at the side closest to the Lorne Street plus a few rows at the front netted off. If it was up to me (this will never happen by the way), I'd give Sheff Utd the paddock and stand. Get as many in as we can and take as much money as we can. Get Vale in the Hamil and trial it out as the home end for a change. I could see that adding a few Vale fans to the attendance too, make a bit of atmosphere.

Like I say, no way it would happen though, too many people would moan about it, the Police would have a fit, and there'd be quite a few security issues given the links to the home ends at the back (towards the Bycars). It would also be harder to keep them off the pitch.

Knowing our lot, I'd be very surprised if they took too kindly to seeing another set of fans celebrating on the pitch. In all my days as a Vale fan, I've never seen any other set of fans get on to our pitch to celebrate a promotion.

Walsall absolutely packed it out last May no way they only bought 3300 it was rammed.

It wasn't mate. http://www.port-vale.co.uk/fixtures-results/match-report/index.aspx?matchid=3834725
There was space down the sides and at the front where it was netted off. Plus on the odd occasion they sat down, you could see plenty of seats dotted about. Good following, but not a sell out, and certainly not 4,500.

Try having Leyton Orient celebrating on your pitch whilst you get relegated to the conference. That was pretty grim!

Remember 2 sets of fans trying to celebrate on the pitch at Hillsborough, QPR after gaining promotion to Championship, in fairness most stayed in the seats but the few who got onto the pitch soon either ran back or got a clip and Palace after staying up but relegating us,
probably about 100 ran on they too either took a few slaps or returned very quickly to their seats. Not a thug but I must admit I was happy to see the Palace fans get a slap, just sent us down and ran on the pitch, what did they expect. If they had stayed in their seats and celebrated fair enough, nothing would have happened inside the ground and they wouldn't have been too scared to come out of the ground after. Bit different with QPR, although celebrating on somebody else's pitch is seen as taking the piss, it is something I would probably do (not at certain places) but I would never go on the pitch after sending another club down. If they (United) get on the pitch and Vale do too, I would expect some serious trouble as I wouldn't expect them to retreat to their seats if confronted, could end up being quite a nasty day. (When they go up it will be a nasty day anyway) Remember us going to Vale Park in 91 hopefully for promotion party brought about 6k midweek. Just about to park up and go in a pub pre match when the windows come out and loads of Wednesday start jumping out through it, decided to drive on and give that one a miss. No celebrating on the pitch that day a draw meant we had to wait a few days until promotion at Hillsborough. Strangely no pitch invasion then either, everyone stayed in their seats and waited for the team to come back out for a lap of honour. Happy days.

Remember that well, i am sure it was a Monday bank Holiday night at beginning of May, Big Ron was the manager.
One of the biggest set of lads i have ever seen up Vale other than Boro' when they were going for promotion.
The nearest we will get to going Sheffield again is Chesterfield or Rotherham !!!

Remember that game well, it was my first ever Vale game as it happens. As you say think Wednesday beat Man U in the league cup probably the week before. Think Wednesday packed the Hamil and one half of the Lorne Street stand in the days before it just became a permanent building site. Vale had a half decent team back then too.
