The song was "your grounds to small for us" when they announced no more were allowed in.

Anyway, where is the updated away followings table, lets see some facts rather than looking at home end photos.

Wigan following was good but why would the rugby affect the away following? It's not like Bury is far away from Old Trafford, I bet loads did both games.

25000 at Old Trafford
1700 at Bury (estimated)

Imagine only having 1 team to follow in your town and having shit support

112 at Spurs, 643 is a made up number by you, just now. I was there and it was comical at the refund policy as I didn't qualify for a ticket refund.
Forget the 2200 at man City that same season or the other decent followings, forget the followings this season, pick the most expensive game from a season and go with that. Who do you support, not even put it on your status. Im guessing its another rain pot side.

Loads go to both games?
Leave Bury at 5 and be in the ground at OT for 6....Hardly any would do that, costs also a factor.

Its a good away following without considering that anyway. You took just shy of our following at Oldham didn't you? So similar numbers away so far isn't it?

DH84 - after 10 years playing the big teams you think Bury and Chesterfield away are more attractive? The only reason we are getting bigger crowds away is that its cheaper to go. Bury was the most expensive so far at £22 so its affordable for most now and its not £40 to watch us lose every week.

So Dh theory is, pick a game with the worst away following in a season a few years ago, when you lose that one, put something about it being worse in a few seasons...Think of current and accept its good. Forget the social media myth and look at here and now.

Who do you support anyway

1000 at Millwall on a Tuesday night? Highly unlikely, more likely to be 100.

Ar Millwall fans commenting on crowds? jesus, a club with much worse away support and they are giving it. Its like the Crewe fan trying it and then taking 147 somewhere.

Of course its cheaper tickets, why would it not be, oh and the fact most grounds are within 90 minutes rather than most over 2 hours.

Anyway, when that table is put up where ever it comes from, have a look and then make something up about Peterborough on a Tuesday. Fair play to all that travel. eave the pikey to his scruffy council flat making things up.

Wigan's support will sky rocket if they do shit this season, they've still got a few tag-along's left but go through some shit and you'll be back to sub 6,000 gates.

I expected us to take less than 146.

Its a trurly dire following but given the circumstances and the fact most of our support has given up on Davis and his dull rubbish brand of football, its a genuine surprise to me that many turned up. Must be the absaloute die hards that will go anywhere under any circumstances

We have poor away support bar a game or two a season. We would probably only took around 300 odd had we been mid table today.

Pretty decent support from us today I thought, nearly 400 for a 200 mile trip. mind you, 200 mile trip is virtually a local derby for us in this division!!

We won't beat 1302 again this season. We will probably crack a 1000 at vale and about 900 to sheff u but I would be surprised if we beat today's following again this season - bar an fa cup draw at someone plum or if we have a shout of promotion like the 1900 we took to Cambridge last season.
It's hardly wave your dick time but given ten years ago our average home gate was that it's pretty impressive today from us

Bury fan complaining about the referee??? jesus, Leon Clarke should have been sent off twice, shocking referee, eventually your player gave him no option but you got every decision today. Mind blowing how people see things different.

Sub 600 gates? You talking 16 years ago since that. You just got less than our worst home gate in years for your biggest game of the season with a big away support so come on, stop being the joker. Walsall are small community club and won't ever be anything else, we at least have identity and history. Recent history. Plus take bigger crowds away than you and have much bigger home crowds. Don't let thefts get in the way. Great effort though from your 5400 home fans for top v second today.

My point about Gillingham the the day, its just miles from anywhere. I think 400 away for them at any ground is good. There are thousands of football fans in Gillingham/Kent hence the other teams fans going to wembley when you get there. Surely th gillingham chairman should tap into that market and get you some decent home crowds with some tough marketing locally.

I don't understand whats going on here, a Wigan fan has just made an account to talk every club down when they'll be struggling for 5,000 at home next year?

Chill out you muppet haha I wasn't even comparing you to us, what's the point in that given your recent success.

The sub 6,000 figure won't be far off if you stay here for a while though will it? Let's be realistic instead of just a hot head. Few seasons of failure and it'll drop home and away.

Walsall are what they are but you never know the future pal.

Why would I bother editing a post? hang on a minute.

Mighty Millwall commenting on crowds, your famous for your big crowds aren't you. Run along and play green street you clown.

The attendance myth around Wigan is comical though and when clubs like Crewe, Walsall & Millwall have a go then they really do need to get a grip. Shit clubs, no history, small crowds.

Bradford City, Sheff United and Barnsley are bigger clubs than Wigan in this league, no others need bother. Its not rocket science is it.

Few season of failure? We have been struggling for the last 10, albeit in different leagues. Sub 6000 crowds would be there in league 2 I agree. Problem is, Walsall are what they are and to comment on Wigan crowds is patronising don't you think.

Walsall, I have stooped to arguing with Crewe and Walsall fans, when did things get this bad. Walsall though...fuck me

What happens after abit of success and prem football. All think they're the bollocks, a big club and unfortunately, no one gives a fuck about Wigan.

Just for the interest of the reader: Walsall all time average attendance 6,292, Wigan Athletic 5,940.

Walsall - A team with no rivalry other than a small one with Shrewsbury. A team with shit crowds, no history, a subset stadium and all in all a small poor club.

Wigan - Where do we start.

Coventry City, Millwall, Swindon Town, Oldham, Blackpool also add to your list
