I have enjoyed reading the banter on here this season (most of it at least) and have just joined especially to congratulate PNE on a great season, on dominating the day and to wish their fans good luck in the Championship. It was a beautiful and punishing display from Beckford (who started his career at Harrow and Wealdstone just a few miles from Wembley). Above all, Grayson has got you beautifully organised and fighting for one another and this was epitomised by Daniel Johnson's tigerish display. All the PNE fans I met were very sporting and your support, understandably, was literally bouncing! We'll do our best to take some points off Blackpool next season where it seems that "agent Oyston family" is doing a top job for you.

Has anyone seen about the kid who managed to get Beckford's shirt, only for some man and woman who were together (But of no relation to him) to literally grab it out his hands? He looked distraught. That's not even the worst part, they then proceeded to place the shirt on Gumtree for £1,500!
Absolute scum of the earth those people, stealing a shirt off a kid who no doubt would have been his hero for the day. I'll put a link below to the story.

On a more positive note, well done to Preston yesterday. Fully deserved and look forward to playing you guys in the Champ next season :)

When we got dicked in the cup final by Swansea, it took our coach about 1hour 30 just to get out of the car park, then we was all muddled up with Swans coached even tho they'd stayed back ages to celebrate so they was giving us shit, to top it off, finally got on motorway to find the kind people at motorway maitenace had decided to close of two lanes and just have the one lane for hundreds of city coaches, think it was near 2am I got back into the city centre and managed to get a taxi home. Then I did it all again in the play offs but least we'd won that time, safe to say tho I fucking hate that journey.

It got taken off Gumtree and reported as stolen, think they've been named and shamed too, i'm sure I read that they were from Manchester as well (??). Scumbag fucking c***.

We parked at Queensbury and just got the tube which took about 5 minutes, no hassle whatsoever.

My dad's coach didn't even turn up yesterday, 50 of them just left outside of the Moorbrook pub, they had to watch it in town. £52 Wembley ticket down the drain after attending all of our previous failed attempts.

I watched that happen in the game, and the Bloke looked like a right chav - but I still presumed they were the parents/carers of a child in there.

Selfish bastards.

That's an absolute disgrace.

When we went to Wembley - we booked a coach before the 2nd Leg against Gillingham and put down a deposit, because we knew if we left it until after the game it'd be fucking chaos trying to get one - but the day before, the Coach company called us up and said 'the coach we've allocated you has broken down' and that they couldn't give us another.

Was clearly absolute bollocks, and luckily my Dad's mate was able to get us a last minute Coach from some random Welsh company, which was fortunate, but the price went from £900, to £2,200, which massively increased the fee in which everyone had to pay.

A lot of these coach companies take the deposit, and try selling it on to another company profit, and then when they can't, they bottle it and either don't turn up, or tell you there's been a problem.

I know it shouldn't have came down to this - but did they not think about getting the train?

For the Conference final last weekend we parked around the corner from Preston Road station and walked for half an hour or so, no trouble at all getting away. 30 minute walk, then straight off in the car with minimal traffic.

Paul Huntington, born and bred in Carlisle, and Jermaine Beckford, who had a loan spell at Brunton Park early in his career, with the goals for Preston. I'd like to think we played some part in their promotion ;)

Congrats Preston, deservedly promoted and I think you'll be mid table at least next season.

How could I forget him, he's been fantastic this season. Your form improved so much when he returned from injury, so it was no surprise he got Player of the Year. Not bad for a free, eh?

I'd like to see him succeed in the Championship, one of my favourite Carlisle players in recent years.

Winning the Play off Final is definitely the best way to get promoted. Ridiculously good day!!

Days like this just don't happen to PNE. It was incredible looking round the stadium with everyone hands on head on disbelief and what we were seeing.

Beckford first goal after 2mins was the best moment I have witnessed as a PNE fan. Incredible.

Commiserations Swindon. We know how u feel. You literally has nothing to cheer about the whole game as the game was won after 13mins. Good luck.next season.

Swindon fans, how did the 'jump around if you hate Blackpool' song look from your end?

The jumping thing looked fantastic. Thought it was the Poznan at first and I couldn't quite make out what you were singing (blame the Wembley acoustics) but nearly all the PNE fans were doing it in all three tiers and it looked great from our end. Chesterfield did a similar thing when we played them in the JPT final a few years ago and I remember admiring theirs too. Shame we can't do anything like that and instead offer only numerous renditions of that awful, generic 'allez-allez-oh' song.

Sincere congratulations to Preston, best team yesterday and clear winners. Enjoy it guys and will be sad to see some great posters missing from the league 1 forum next season.

Defensively we were rotten yesterday and you took us apart every time you attacked. We had loads of the ball but did nada with it.

Congratulations again.

Good luck next season.

Sorry to say it but the last 2 times we have played you I have come away and said it was the easiest game we have had this season.

Swindon are tidy on the ball but massively lacked a plan B.

Graysons tactics yesterday were fantastic and Beckford and Garner just bullied and won everything. How garner wins so many headers I don't know!

The smith header at 2-0 just before beckford scored was pivotal. Long ball forward, garner flick, excellent finish, that is how easy football can be at times, we make it so hard for ourselves the way we play.

Beckford and Garner were a menace the whole game, not like we hadn't been warned, our defending from crosses was schoolboy, how much space was Huntingdon in??

Beckford will get all the plaudits for his goals but Garner was class yesterday, ran himself to the ground, won all his battles and set up two.

Still can't believe this has happened. This just doesn't happen to North End.

The first goal was special, but the 3rd goal was the one I celebrated most as that was when I finally believed we'd done it.

Amazing.

I still don't know what it's like to celebrate a goal at Wembley

Three visits in five years and nothing to celebrate in any of them.

I feel for you mate. It was the first time I've seen us score in a final after losing 3-0 and 1-0, I know exactly how you're feeling and it's one of the worst experiences in football. Hope you lot do alright next season.

Preston fans, what happened to Andrew Little?

Rangers are my second team (one half of my family originates from Glasgow) so I've seen a fair bit of him. Wasn't sure if he had it in him to be a top-half L1 player, which I guess has proven to be the case with his lack of games?

Was there anyone in the upper tier apart from the few hundred or so on the halfway line

He's never had a proper run but he's not good enough based on what I have seen, suffered with injury too. Callum Robinson then came in and took his place in the team/ bench.

Can see him just being loaned out until his contract runs out now we have gone up, similar situation for Kyel Reid as well I think, both have a year left.

Infact I just had a look at a video I took, there's way more than that in there. Maybe 3,000 of us and 1,500 Swindon
