Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.

Always worth a look.

I see that Aguero and Kompany are both starting. The press has spent k telling me that they are both being forced out. Colour me confused.

Need a good result today to take advantage of the slip ups of Arsenal and Spurs yesterday and get a couple of points clear again.

Our full-backs could be torn to shreds today.

Could get ugly if City score early. Hopefully we can frustrate them and actually take our chances if we get any.

Redmond's well onside there. Shame. May have been more composed without the whistle.

As much on Kompany as it is on Stones that (when you have the ball, you don't have to man mark), but the whole situation started by Fernandinho choosing to play it back to Stones instead of a perfectly good build up pass to Gundogan which would have won them many yards. Just plain odd build up play and the rule of average alone will tell you you'll concede a bunch of goals like that.

Another bad back pass - will City learn from mistakes?

Offside so rightly not given.

I thought it was a bit harsh to be honest. No complaints if it would have been given.

How can a goal that was offside not being given be harsh?

Aguero offside and goes for the ball. How was it harsh?

Awful defending from us regardless, great call from the Lino though.

It's harsh because most of the time it's given, since Agüero doesn't touch the ball. It's the same way Xhaka's red was harsh, and that a penalty for a slight shirt pull is harsh. It's in the rule book but it's inconsistent.

A correct decision being given isn't harsh simply because it perhaps wouldn't be applied consistently by other officials.

You were being quite vocal about West Brom's goal being offside yesterday for a player impeding the keepers vision in an offside position. They're not always given either, as seen yesterday.

You sir, are inconsistent.

Aye, yesterday's goal was very clearly offside and as you say, it was given without much protest. Which sort of makes my point.

As for me being inconsistent, well I support Liverpool and that incorrect goal robbed us from being top of the league if just for a little while. I'd call it forgivable, just like I'd forgive you for arguing the inconsistent line if that was a Southampton goal that was disallowed.

We're all hypocrites and it takes one who considers himself an exception to think it makes a difference.

Harsh on City now piss off.

Sorry to disagree with a fellow Liverpool fan but claiming a correct decision is harsh can't be anything but nonsensical. Had it been given it would have been harsh on Southampton, but not on City for it being ruled out.

They should be down to 10 men. Disgusting challenge on Romeu.

Sterling having a shocker, barely had any influence. It seems to be entirely too easy to take him out of a game given how much City paid. :bg:

Watch the fucker score or assist now.

This is the second time I've seen a Liverpool fan use the "we're all hypocrites" excuse, the other being MBR. Don't make broad generalisations to justify your own fuck ups. Thank you please.

Ok Pags mate

There would be at least a handful of penalties every game if that degree of shirt pulling justified a spot kick,
Any shirt pull, by the rule book is a pen. But here you're in line with my thinking. Also a Southampton game that. Not that I'd accuse you of having an agenda or anything ...

I've only tuned in for the second half and he's not been having a shocker at all. His final ball has been a little too heavy or off target a few times but he's constantly getting into good positions to feed other attackers and we're only 10 minutes into the second half. Wouldn't back against getting an assist at this rate, possibly a goal.

To say we're all hypocrites on this forum is about as broad a generalisation as to say we're all male. There might be the odd exception but you're certainly not one of them.
