Ok Pags mate

Any shirt pull, by the rule book is a pen. But here you're in line with my thinking. Also a Southampton game that. Not that I'd accuse you of having an agenda or anything ...

Christ, talk about defensive. You actually went away and found that quote? Seriously?

A goal is offside or it isn't, this was. Not all holding of shirts in the area constitutes shirt pulling to the point of justifying a potentially match changing penalty, or shouldnt be. A sensible decision on the degree needs to be made by the officials as to whether it could possibly cause the player to drop like a bag of shit. That particular incident wasn't for me. It was a bullshit penalty decision. In other words the incidents are not comparable, but I'm sure you're already aware of that.

To sum up, offside or not offside is black or white. Shirt pulling isn't.

Also, are you trying to say I'm a Southampton fan or something?

This match needs Shane Long. :(

Boufal will do though!

Hopefully puts in a similar performance to our former record signing vs Man City.

I actually just searched "penalties a game" posted by Pagnell because literally everyone have used that argument at some point. You've done it once, for the record.

My internet's so shit (on a train) I'm having trouble finding the paragraph but I'm actually quite sure it's a foul to grab another players shirt, period. Someone on an internet line from the 21st century could probably confirm that.

As for me, I'm just trying to peace-make mate, us Liverpool fans shouldn't argue amongst each other. For calls impossible to always get right, consistency > blowing the whistle every time you actually do catch it. Shirt pulls, this weird offside rule we changed two seasons ago, and this new cynical foul red, it's all the same for me. If it's consistent it's fair, if it's not it's harsh. On City. Harsh on City.

As for Southampton I don't know man I'm just saying you seem to defend Southampton a lot nothing more nothing less.

I wonder why a Liverpool fan would have a soft spot for Southampton.

I'll ask Lallana. Or Mane. Or Clyne Or Lovren.

I'll take that as a no.
Honestly mate, on a football forum where your name is referring to a male, with a male picture, where literally every regular poster is a male, the burden of proof isn't really on me for the joke to hold up. Because it was just a joke, you don't have to take offense.

I thought it was a funny metaphor man, jesus christ. If I incorrectly assumed your gender, and if you took offense, of course I apologize and that was never my intention.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
It's just not quite clicking the way it was earlier in the season. Loads of possession, loads of chances, but one individual error and it's two points dropped. 'On another day' both Everton and Southampton could have been well beaten, but it's not quite coming off. Someone's going to be spanked into next week but they need to stop dropping silly points like today.

Draw a fair result. City dominated possession but done fuck all with it. Both goals came from a lapse of concentration from defenders.

All that money spent on John Stones and he's not even the best CB out there. VVD far superior.

Shame the referee didn't see that reckless as fuck tackle from Gundogan, red card all day long.

Oh, perhaps you're right.

Hypocrite.

Anyway, this is turning into a fantastic weekend for us.

That was aimed at Depay, a United player. Try again.

Take the point away from City.

They were the better team over the match and we were gifted a goal.

Sunderland on Wednesday now. Congested fixture list, but I hope we still put out a competitive side as qualification to the Europa League through the league may be beyond us this year.

There's no way for me to know that and no way for you to prove that, but fair enough. But you call him a toad for diving yet ...

I'm talking about diving in general, not this particular game. It stems from me claiming I'm not really bothered about diving.
It's the definition of hypocrisy. Your next line of arguing will be that calling someone a toad on a football forum isn't the definition of being "bothered about diving" but I'm tired of this now.

Good luck against Chelsea now mate.

Calling a player a 'toad' for diving in a Europa game when he plays for the team I support is absolubtly within the context of the point you refered it to.
