All fair enough and even if he's 100% right, the idea that (in this squad) Mkhitaryan so useless as to need leaving out altogether, is ludicrous. Not that long ago Mkhitaryan made a huge difference at Hull. Memphis has made five appearances since then and done fuck all every time.

When the alternative is Rooney, yes. When you could potentially play Rashford up top and get Mkhitaryan into the attacking midfield at the same time instead, possibly not.

Having said that Ibra has been involved in a couple of excellent, intricate moves and played the final pass in to create a good chance that ultimately ends up being missed.

He's not totally useless when he isn't scoring.

United have actually been superb in this second half, Tom Heaton is having a wordlie. Has 10 good saves already.

Zlatan's link up play has been excellent. It's been a really good, cohesive performance from United, maybe the best of the season. Amazingly no goal to show for it. Should have 3+.

Mourinho should have left Mata on, his link up play with Pogba and Ibrahimovic was creating chance after chance. I know they've went down to 10 men, but Fellaini and Rooney have slowed down the build up play and made it easy for Burnley to defend. I cannot believe United haven't won this. Terrible result potentially, but actually nice to see United play this well.

What a game.

We played well, created a hell of a lot of chances. A combination of some fantastic keeping from Heaton and defending from Burnley and some poor finishing from United means it ends goalless.

Had Herrera not been sent off (very unluckily) it might have been different as Burnley did look to be tiring and the changes we had to make in the wake of the red card definitely made us more predictable and containable going forward.
