Perhaps, just perhaps he's someone willing to take the poisned chalice. Some of you did say you would take Steve Evans? I'd prefer Barton personally.

Think I would take anyone at this point.

We are poised to announce our new manager tomorrow apparently. But no clues whatsoever coming out of the club prior to the announcement

Any clues then? Whoever runs that lower league look account on twitter seems to think he knows who’s it not but not who it is. Ruled out Barton

Just this dodgy picture that's been doing the rounds haha.

Names going around include Scott Brown, Graham Alexander, Leam Richardson and Gary Rowett (no chance). Really hope it isn't Brown or Alexander.

That picture is not our proposed manager. That’s the media section of the main stand, to which you’d think any proposed manager would be in the 1911 Suite, boxes or boardroom seating in the upper stand.

That Twitter account will be run by a spotty teenager who believe their ITK for a few likes on socials.

Does that say ‘Prisons’ behind him. If so, yes it’s Joey Barton.

Nah if it was Barton he'd probably have someone in the sharpshooter whilst nutting a child or something.

Betting suspended on Graham Alexander. No idea if that means anything. Another dour manager. No thank you.

Been told it’s Alexander from a decent source if they’re telling the truth of course.

Hope your source is on the sauce. Be disappointed if we've spent five weeks to appoint him. Dire.

It’s 100% Alexander according to who’s told me, someone who has a bit to do with the club. Absolutely shite appointment entirely predictable in its disappointment.

MK Dons saw through him after sixteen games but good enough for us. We're not getting out of League Two anytime soon, are we?

Read the MK Dons forum and he sounds like a carbon copy of Hughes. Great stuff.

Think Bradford fans need a bit of a reality check.

They're not a big club punching below their weight, they belong at this level at this point. They're a hard to please fanbase with unrealistic expectations.

You'd have to have serious confidence as a manager to take that job, they're most likely gonna have to settle for the classic L2 managers

Don’t think it’s even close to that bad.

Who did you expect? It’s not exactly a glamorous job considering the circumstances. Better than Hughes too (I know that’s not saying a lot)

Not sure how our wanting to get out of League Two is 'unrealistic expectations'. Or wanting better than a
manager who was binned off at MK Dons after only sixteen games for playing abysmal, turgid football.

I wanted the Cowleys. Then I said I'd be happy with Leam Richardson. Said I'd also be happy with giving Artell ago and wasn't against McDonald stepping up full-time. Not sure anyone would look at those names and suggest any are particularly unrealistic.

We want a change from the shit football we played under Hughes. Not more of the same.

Cowley definitely been a better appointment but he pied you, so back on tinder it was and you accepted a lesser option but still better than the sacked manager.

Uninspiring and above all more of the same and that same isn't pretty.

Tbh whoever they appoint Don King in the sales department will still convince 15,000 locals to sign up for more.

Alexander is a horrible appointment. Chequebook manager who gets sacked on a regular basis. Never ever been automatically promoted as a manager too despite managing teams with huge budgets at times.

Baffled as to how he keeps getting jobs.

He's such a dour and dreary man I struggle to see how he inspires players. He's only done well at rich tinpotters.

Probably by people who run clubs like Sparks.

He was an outstanding captain and leader as a player but that doesn't necessarily translate into an inspirational and outstanding manager.

Only club he managed at without huge resources was Motherwell and, despite getting them into Europe, he was sacked after a terrible run of form spread over 2 seasons.
