Tomlinson was better than Bogle, who looked unfit and disinterested to me. Surprised he didn't come off instead of Arnold.

Interesting. The radio pundit seemed to think Bogle did alright holding the ball up but that Tomlinson was just poor. The main commentator kept quiet on that, though. Bogle probably has lost a bit of sharpness having been on the bench the past few weeks. Our main commentator seemed to suggest our only three players worthy of any credit were McKeown, Pearson and Disley.

That's a crap excuse, he could have brought Tomlinson off for Amond. Arnold coming off was a double blow. I groaned when I heard Marshall was warming up. I know Marshall has done well coming off the bench of late, but I still would rather have Amond on. If you're bringing Marshall on then at least bring Tomlinson off and stick Arnold up front, thus switching up two positions in one substitution and eradicating Tomlinson's red card threat.
Believe me, Arnold was awful yesterday. Bogle was also bad and Tomlinson did a lot more. I never trust Tondeur on his descriptions because he's wrong a lot of the time.

Indeed, other than that no show at Woking, we barely conceded any goals in the first several games. Since George has been out, we've shipped them in from every angle.

Three 3-2 scorelines in a week!
If Worsnop aka dracula (hates crosses) is so good why is everyone on Deva Chat calling for Burr to sign a loanee keeper..
The reason John Danby dropped out of contention was because he had a business he had to attend to. Players at Gap Connah's Quay are very well paid part timers. Glennon not better than Worsnop .... doubt you'd get many CFC supporters to back you on that. I've stopped posting on DC because it's full of happy clappers like you.

Last season Worsnop was excellent, this season he's been average at best. Pretty much every post you make now is about how rubbish you think he is, I think everyone has come to accept now that you're just going to blame every goal on him, because you want to.

I've moaned my head off in the past week on DC about some of Burr's ridiculous recent decisions, but if you still want to dub me a happy clapper then so be it, it's more enjoyable than storming out of games in the 55th minute to dash home and still follow the game online ranting about it.

I've been impressed with Worsnop whenever I have seen him. Not the best goalkeeper in the league but not far off. RailwayBlue vs Worsnop is getting boring now.

Guiseley played some good football, they were the better side first half and I think 3-0 flattered us. The pen was a poor decision and we got lucky with that. The main difference between the sides was our extra quality in the final third, the likes of Parkin, Frear and O'Connor are top drawer at this level.

4th highest attendance in the division yesterday, not bad for a game between 2 tinpotters. ;)

I've missed 6 league games in 5 and a quarter seasons, but feel we're going backwards this season.

Admittedly we've been crap since Luke George has been injured, but why was Dylan Forth signed if he was not going to get a game when Jon Worsnop has even by your estimation had a dip in form from last season. I'll be at Southport and at home to Halifax next Saturday, but I won't be going to FGR because their stewards are vile. I've been supporting CFC for 55 years now. How long you BlueandWhite? Less than 10 I would imagine. I wont be replying to any more posts about Worsnop. I have my opinion which concurs with just about every other Chester supporter I know and there are hundreds of them. Any Lincoln fans that were at yesterday's game got an honest opinion?

I wasn't there, but having a Rhead(!) around our forums, the general consensus seems to be that you were a little lucky to be still in the game at HT and we were well on top up until your second with 20 minutes or so to go. Then you put us under pressure but we dug in.

Unless you meant an opinion on Worsnop, in which case ignore the above and he's not been mentioned by anyone at our end so he can't have been that bad otherwise I'm sure it would have been said.

Danby is no where near the level of Jon Worsnop. He might be having a difficult time at the moment but he was arguably our player of the year last season, good luck finding a better keeper than him on our budget.

20 years, and I'm 25 years old. Seems like we've missed a similar amount of games, since we reformed I don't think the amount I've missed home or away has breached double figures yet.

So you're a bit wide of the mark, as you were calling me a director as well!

Excellent news re. the attendance, wouldn't look out of place in L2, especially when compared to the crowds the likes of Accrington, Morecambe and Dagenham get.

Slightly surprised with your comments on Guiseley. I watched their Lincoln home match, and the first thought that crossed my mind was they desperately need to bring in a couple of quality players in January if they want to stay up. Looked relegation certainties to me, but tbf, a lot of conference sides aren't consistent, so it could be they didn't show up for that particular match.

Sparrow's a decent poster tbf, if only he could get over his Alfeton obsession ;)

The Sparrow Fan Club out in force today. :woo:

More fans than Eastleigh, coincidently.

I watched the game between Guiseley and Lincoln and they played in a similar style yesterday. They moved the ball around nicely, with the keeper often looking to pass to a team-mate rather than launching it downfield, a bit like Gateshead did a couple of seasons back. Apparently they had a good shout for a penalty early in the game, but like the referee I must have been looking the other way and completely missed it. They definitely need a bit more up front but they do create chances, they just need to convert some, priority should be bringing someone in who can do precisely that.

Missed the game, as in Barca atm, (booked earlier this year before the league draw assuming there would be a home game on Sat, Tues or Sat, but didn't consider international break!), anyway good spot on the attendances Chris. One things that grabbed my attention other than tapas, sun, cold beer, etc .. was the results from our rivals over last 7 games since we became shit .. both Grimsby & Chelt have won only 2 in 7, same as us, and Tranmere only 3, we opened the door but none (of the big dogs!) stepped through.

We've won 3 as well, but your point still stands

It was a good crowd, fair play, but let's not get carried away.

And Accrington, Morecambe and Dagenham are all pretty tinpot, not exactly a good yardstick to use.

Nice to enjoy a win this weekend! Things looking a little bit rosier now - until Tuesday anyway.

Spot on to be fair. Not sure we have the budget to bring in anyone that can do what we need though. Tom Craddock has the pedigree but has been out injured for a long time and needs a good run of games to get back to his best. Our best hope is getting Olli Johnson fit again, now he's a player.
Whatever happens this season we shall enjoy every minute of the experience and see where we are come May :)

If you leave halfway through games I think the 55 years can be adjusted to 27.5 years.

Yep decent effort that. Suppose its not worth mentioning 400 were free tickets to local school kids that had also been given a free shirt?

It seems to happen every week there so it's just the usual now. Still, keeps Vanni excited.
