Gowling sent off for off the ball incident with Fat c*** Rhead then the fat c*** scores the resultant penalty, this after it sounds like we were battering them.
Did i mention that Rhead is a fucking fat c***?
Fat Bastard.
:2thumb:

He is indeed a fat knacker but the blubber around his waist has more football nous than Hurst so it's swings and roundabouts.

That's a great effort from Macc.

As for us, just shows that without Hearn, we've got nothing up top. We had to rely on a 20 year old and two 18 year olds to come on.

3-0 win despite being down to 10 men for 82 minutes. Pretty damn happy with that!

We did similar at Braintree a couple of seasons ago. 3-0 win, but 10 men for 86 mins!

Scenes in the away end.

Macc didn't deserve to lose that but neither did we. Draw would have been fair.

Game changed in our favour when Mahon and Chappell went off for Thomson and Richards. Delighted for Hobson as he works bloody hard every game and it's times like this that remind me of why I'm a fully paid up member of the Craig Hobson Fan Club

Piece of piss and could have scored 10 today. It's good that we are able to beat these relegation sides at home this season.

This Hurst guy is stealing a wage I reckon. I've said it before and I'll say it again - Grimsby can buy Messi and still fail to go up as long as he's in charge. But there's a positive side to everything, and in this case, it's the bookies laughing at the idiots who put their hard earned money on the Mariners.

Just got back from Barrow v Southport... get your life savings on Southport to go down - they were dire.
Andy Cook got the only goal, but in truth it could and should have been more.
Add to that 2 red cards for Southport, one after about 85mins, the other in injury time - both for violent conduct by the looks of it - Andrai Jones with a potential leg breaking challenge that luckily Elliot Newby managed to walk away from, and Josh Thompson who hardly got a kick against Andy Cook - so decided to kick out at his replacement.
I bet their forum will be fun tonight.

We're so shit, we lost to 10 men who played even worse than us yet managed to put all their 3 shots away.

I'm still not concerned. We'be drawn the last two in which last year we'd have lost. Last week was a shite managerial decision and this week was Gowling fucking up. But both times we've shown the character to pull it back and be unlucky not to actually win.

I feel that when we get a bit of luck and a bit of form going we'll be very very hard to stop.

Battering? Fuck off. Barring one first three minutes chance, you've done fuck all.

Cheers Josh Gowling.
Have a look at the match thread on Vital Lincoln you clueless idiot.
Everyone on there says we were all over you until your goal and all say you were very lucky to get a point against 10 men.
I guess they were all watching a different game to you then pal?
In protest at being dominated by 10 men, why not threaten to not go again this season?

Grimsby dominated? That's news to me. We were poor but that doesn't mean they were great by default. It was a scrappy game with little quality on show, aside from Bogle's neat turn and finish.

Without Hearn we were always going to struggle, we just have nothing going forward at all. But Grimsby weren't a great deal better, even when they had eleven on the pitch. They missed a sitter in the first minute or two (or a fabulous save from Farman, depending on your viewpoint), but other than that we weren't really tested. Of course that doesn't excuse our complete ineptitude to take advantage following Gowling's self-destruction (who has nobody else to blame but himself), we didn't even attempt to extend our lead when it was 1-0 and neither did we go for a winner when Grimsby equalised. Moyses has to take the blame for that as well as the fitness of his side, who looked exhausted after 70 minutes despite having a man extra.

But a point was fair, neither side did enough to win it. Of course Grimsby will be the happier of the two, but let's not pretend they were robbed and were actually battering us - at the time of the red card and goal there was half an hour on the clock and they had created one clear goalscoring chance and a half-chance for Arnold.

Going back to Gowling for a second - the guy's a liability, always has been and always will be. And it's never his fault. I'm not sure if he's swung a punch or what, but he's certainly hauled Rhead to the ground when the ball was no where near them.

Most noise Halifax fans made all game was when they clapped Dominic Vose off the pitch.

Yeah, as bad as any Conference North side I saw last season. Bar their keeper, not a single player looked to have anything about them.
We won't have an easier 1-0 win.

playing with 9 men and an outfield player in goal from the 37th minute isn't fun :dis:
