Missing TFFers

amazing how many people have contacts to get in touch with others to bring them onto here, i'd have been able to get hold of no one really,

we may have a good 50-60% now of the regular posters, still alot missing, but considering it was removed with no warning and no help its amazing to get so many on.

but i think people need to get some posts up, even if just 3-4 a day just for the next few weeks, a new forum lives or dies by its start, if it looks busy new people join up, if its quiet regulars head elsewhere.

I agree Dave, 640+ members in about 3 days for a forum that was effectively set up overnight is a superb achievment. Forum seems active as well. The challenge now comes to maintain a steady stream of the remaining ex-TFF and new posters. Word of mouth and social media, especially for new forum posters will definitely help. I'll be doing my bit and no doubt the existing members here will also. It would be nice to get over the first landmark of 1000 members as soon as possible!!

That is true rammy, one good thing seems to be if on google you type thefootballforum it brings up a post to the stockport forum with a link to here so hopefully people see it via that.

As the most popular pages on this thread start to be picked up by Google (a couple of months generally) then people from TFF should theoretically drip through to us - IF they search for anything related to that at that stage. Otherwise it's just word of mouth, posting around on Facbook pages/groups and paid advertising. Great that we've got 640 odd members already here, here's to 6,400 by the end of the year!!!

Pretty amazing to see so many people moved over in such a short amount of time. I've seen it happen before on a forum where the admin have forgotten what makes a website so good (the old Blue Kipper forum if Everton fans remember it before it turned shite, around 2008) and it leaves a rotten taste. Luckily the same thing happened here and most of that community moved on elsewhere. I hope to post more here than I have the last year or so on TFF
