just wondering which match everyone is looking forward to the most this season, not including local derbies? for me, just about every away match counts now we're in the national. looking forward to wrexham in particular, our cup match there a while back has to be one of my best away days ever. though tranmere, lincoln, chester(sorry wrexham) gateshead, aldershot, york, macclesfield, southport and torquay come a close second. anyone looking forward to coming to maidstone? probably not, but if we're still in this league next season, i bet it's one of the top destinations.
so, where are the best awaydays to be had in this league? or have you all been here to long to care?

unfortunately, with segregation and all, away fans may not be able to get to our award winning pie stand. hopefully they'll put one in the away end too, or even better still, we won't have segregation and you can come to ours.

Must admit I'll be looking forward to going to Maidstone. I'll get down there on the Thursday and book into my regular B & B in Canterbury and come home on the Sunday. Kent is one of my favourite counties along with Devon, but I think I'll give Torquay a miss this season on account of their bully-boy security men.

The fixtures have been mostly kind, and I'm probably looking forward to York away most on a Saturday in January (weather permitting...).
Annoyingly, the Guiseley away game is a Tuesday, as it's always good for a weekend in Leeds. Might even make the away trip to Braintree in the penultimate game if there's anything to play for at that point.

I just cannot wait for our local derby with Forest Green. Absolutely buzzing!!!
I know you're taking the puss but no one can fault the entertainment value of the two fixtures last season - 9 goals if I'm not mistaken.

York away last day of the season, nice city and hopefully lifting the trophy.

Bear in mind it looks like our game with you will be during the works so tickets would be scarce.

This is probably the first season I can remember where I haven't been particularly bothered who we were playing or when, possibly the only question for me would have been which way round our guaranteed seasonal fixtures with Torquay might be, happy with the way it has worked out. We don't really have a local game any more, without the likes of Cheltenham, Kiddy, Newport or even Bath to play against. Those games are usually eagerly anticipated and, no disrespect intended, I don't count Torquay or Solihull as being local. I am looking forward to seeing a few new teams, plus welcoming back the likes of York and Dagenham, particularly as the former now has Yan Klukowski playing for them. I'm just looking forward to getting the friendlies out of the way and on with the serious stuff.

Tranmere, not only because they beat us twice last season (so want revenge), but also because it was a wonderful experience visiting Prenton Park and walking past the statue and entering their super fantastic stadium.

I bet you do. Last season Torquay were all but dead and buried and completely destroyed top of table FGR. That game indicated to me that Torquay would avoid relegation. It is the only game that I can remember where the home fans annoyingly flashed their mobile phone lights every time their team scored. Mind you it was returned to them a week later at TNL.
The away game was the only game all season where there was a mass exerdous of FGR fans before the final whistle.

For us it will be Stamford and Basford as two of our nearest games. Basford we've played twice in cup games in the last 3 seasons, winning one and losing the other - we've gotten on quite well with them and they are reasonably strong, while Stamford are a side who have spent a lot of money and have a lot of familiar names in their squad to Diamonds fans, including a few from the R&DFC days, with Jon Challinor, Paul Bastock and David Bell standing out. We'll be going for the playoffs and so will both of these two teams.

On top of this there is also our old UCL rivals Spalding, who were mid-table last season, though I think they saw that as quite disappointing and will be looking up the table a bit this year - their big game will be against Lincoln United who finished higher in the table, but the manager took the sideways move to join Spalding - obviously implying they have a bit of money about them for the coming season.

No match really stands out for us. Be nice to make return Journeys to Kidderminster,Halifax and Altrincham and FCUM.

From a personal POV though I am looking forward to our meetings with Salford

I did wonder how long it'd be until you responded! ;)

I can't stand the place. Been there too many times now. Genuinely don't know if there's any games I'm looking forward to. Beating Dartford twice over Christmas will be nice, but it'll mean nothing if we fail to go up again.
