We have a bunch of players that are utterly devoid of effort, a manager who is hopelessly out of his depth and a naive board who thought throwing money at us this season would trigger success,

I don't know how they have the balls to walk around the pitch at the end clapping the fans, I'd be embarrassed if I was a professional player who keeps putting in performances like that every week.

If Harrison has anything about him he'd resign tonight.
We appear to have been the catalyst for your utter shitness.

We appear to have been the catalyst for your utter shitness.

We followed up that glorious night with an insipid 3-0 defeat at Ebbsfleet. Then contrived to gift Macclesfield 3 points at home the following week despite dominating the game. Confidence drained, with Craig Harrison working his magic, we get battered 4-0 at Dover the next week, despite having 68% possession (but not creating a single chance). We then go to Workington in the trophy and totally devoid of ideas belief and character, we get beat late on again. Today, should've been 2/3 up by the time Maidenhead equalised with a laughable own goal from fuckwit of the year Louis Lang, then just allow them to run through our 'defence' to seal the points. Just a lack of desire and heart, there was only one winner when they made it 1-1. Heads dropped against fucking Maidenhead, seriously. It's Theresa May's seat. If that was me playing I'd be looking to batter them just because of that if nothing else. 40 tories celebrating at the end with their corgis tied up outside the away end.

Thats the best we've played away from home for 4 months, we took our chances and saw the game out quite well.

The game itself was poor, but we managed to capitalise on a spell of pressure in the first half when we forced around 6 corners.

I noticed we went back to basics as team when it came to defending - Breaking the game up and taking no chances in our third of the pitch, our second goal was well worked I thought. We've badly needed that, just to get come wins/points together.

Maidstone were poor overall, but I was happy we kept the likes of Loza and when he came on Hines quiet, who looked good when he came on , far too good for this level but his injuries have cost him a good career. I also quite liked the look of the left back - Anderson..............

Edinburgh has said after the game that deals to sign Bondz N'Gala and Josh Coulson pernamently could be announced very shortly.

The away end was jammed though! You could've given us a wee bit more space!

I really thought we were going to be up for it today, but that result means we're gone in my honest opinion. What Grimsby fans were saying about Bignot appears to be true. I know the guy inherited an absolutely awful squad, but he was forced/chose to pick McCombe today, who would easily qualify for our worst ever eleven. The team showed no desire, no fight, no shape, no nothing. I was willing to give him a chance , but the writing was on the wall at Brisbane Road when we couldn't beat 10 man Orient when 2-1 up at h/t and were lucky to get a point in the end. We need to get rid of the board as well as they show are as clueless as the team. We will join Stockport County and York City, who seem destined for a lengthy stay at level 6.

Merry Christmas to everyone on here (except Sparrow).

Seems the bottom four are beginning to be cut adrift. No great escape for Torquay this year?

After our last two performances I'm back to being optimistic. There's now a chance of gaining six points in our double header with Chester rather than zero which would put us in a great position. Games in hand too.

We got well and truly dicked by the long ball tactics from Barra today. Think we can enter the ‘season’s over’ thread now.

A massive victory for us today. Unless we do something daft over the Christmas period, we are in the thick of the title race now.

Sutton made it very hard for us with their physicality and set plays but we had that bit of extra quality when it mattered. Our first and second goals were both goal of the season contenders.

Just back from Guiseley, and I’m still trying to work out how we have gone from being the best footballing side in this division to the worst. We were like 11 strangers today and couldn’t string two passes together. Neither side deserved to win the game, Guiseley were punished for their horrific timewasting (from 11 minutes onwards) by conceding in the 5th minute of stoppage time. We couldn’t create anything and all Cox seems to want to do is spoil the game and stop the oppo scoring without creating much thrmselves, it’s going to be a long winter if thats how he wants to play.

Good day out at a nice friendly club though, and sets up 3 tough games in the next week.

Happy Christmas everybody.

Our game at Halifax has the feel of a season-defining game. Win it and we'll be flying; a draw is ok, but a loss and it'll feel like curtains for us. We've picked up a little, have players returning from injury, we've fallen on a defensive formation which appears stronger and Hannah is scoring again, while Halifax are on a downward spiral. Fingers crossed.

UNLUCKY! :ds:

I like Chester, you're one of our doppelganger brother clubs with a parallel history to ours, but you've made a really poor fist of this league. You got lucky with a reprieve after being relegated in your first season and in your second season I was genuinely shocked to see you didn't appear to have addressed the lack of quality in your squad the following season, when we trounced you on your own pitch. That Chester team was as poor as I'd seen in this league but if anything the one you have now, 3 years later, is even worse. You were utterly shambolic today, an embarrassment to yourselves and I still can't for the life of me understand why, except to say that persistent problems of this nature are always traceable back to a poor calibre boardroom. This, I feel is a particular failure among the fan owned clubs.

Other than Superted taking his time with goal kicks (he does it all the time) i didnt think we were time wasting today. No more than any other team would with a lead. Wrexham fans saw far worse at the Racecourse!
Believe it or not todays performance (and Gateshead on Wednesday) was a massive improvement on the previous four games under Paul Cox.
We were never going to beat you with free flowing passing football so negating your strengths was the best we could hope for I think. I'm sure further improvement will follow as we gain confidence and belief. There are a lot of new players in the team now. Nobody would have expected us to get anything from todays game so even a draw is a step in the right direction. We've seen far worse performances under Cox.

I should be disappointed, but we always have a December slump, and yet we're going into Xmas just 11 points off the top with 2 games in hand and even with an aggregate loss of 10-0 in our last 4 league matches we're still top half. Merry Xmas everyone.

They are still winning this league.

Having seen Tranmere yesterday I wouldn't disagree. They were efficient and played smart yesterday. Very physical mind (my favourite moment was when Louis John was pushed into the advertising boards behind the goal and the ref gave a Tranmere corner. Although I'm the refs defence John did touch the ball last as his body was moving towards the advertising). A far better team from when they game earlier this season. McNaultey is a beast

Barrow coming up for us in the next week . We are a totally different side from the one that couldnt create a chance up to mid october . Our wide men are flying at the moment and with wallace due back to give our midfield a bit more vision hopefully we can only get better.

The turn around seems to be mellon barging into palios office and demanding wide men as opposed to the stupid diamond we played in midfield earlier.

Cook is flying too looking confident and happy again , celebrating with the crowd whenever he scores. I do fear however if we lose a striker gerry mcdonagh may sound like an irish terrorist but he has failed to explode at our place ( sorry) as for waring i believe he is struggling at fax and alabi has hardly set dover on fire since he got there i would be tempted to send him back to chester to put him back into his comfort zone and build his confidence.

Finally it just falls to me to wish each and every one of you and your families a very merry xmas and i hope you get everything you desire out of the new year... even the chester supporters who were calling us smackheads and the borehamwood club who dont miss a chance to charge for something .

Great minds jared. Sutton will be top 4 too if they play like they did at pp earlier in the season

Our players need to learn that they cant just turn up and win. Same attitude as Hereford went into Eastleigh thinking the same. 3 tough local games now. This league is so piss poor this year, how are we 5 off top with a game in hand.

Bottom 4 are gone already.

Predictable scoreless draw at Wrexham, as Dover continued their unbeaten run against them since our return to this League 4 years ago, It was an interesting game where both defences showed why they don't concede many goal, both teams work really hard in defence and reduced the other team to a small number of chances. Felt neither team wanted to lose this game although, I did feel a little disappointed returning home with just the one point, as we coped with Wrexham's forwards with out any problems , this despite losing a center half at half time , to be replaced by the smallest player in the bloody league.
I do like the way the Wrexham fans get behind there team in mass, something that the lower supported team cant do due to late on numbers on the terraces,
Also Appreciated the round of applause from the Wrexham fans when the attendance of 53 Dover fans was announced.

Happy Christmas all

We were utter shite. I can’t warm to our team this season. There’s something half arsed about them. Last season we were naive with inexperienced players but we gave 100% every game. This season, individual moments have saved us but the team cohesion isn’t there. We’ll make top 7 I think but no way are we going up. Agree with all others who say this is Tranmere’s league

I think the biggest risks to us are either Cook or Norwood getting injured and losing DMH and Banks when their loans expire. Without Mottley Henry we have not got any width on the right hand side and Banks has given us something different in midfield with his creativity. If we can keep those four we will be strong for the rest of the season.

The players we have shunted out on loan are a problem for us. None of Alabi, Mangan and Waring are good enough and I don't know where we will be financially if their loan clubs want to return them. Their wages will be very high and I don't think we could afford to keep the whole squad together if we had to bring them back. I like the idea of sending Alabi to Chester, but they could not afford his salary.

Nail on head. We have a completely anonymous, useless board. I wish they'd all fuck off. They're getting dogs abuse on Deva Chat and not one of the has had the guts to come on and defend themselves. The sooner they all resign the better, but I won't be holding my breath.
