They are just doing what we were doing and beating teams they should be. It's funny how they are now champions elect whilst we just had a kind run of fixtures.

It's November, plenty of twist and turns yet!

For the avoidance of doubt when people say, in November, say stuff like "Its Stockports to lose now". They typically aren't being serious.

You've been down here long enough to know that you can't bank on anything in this league.

Oh I don't know, we can all pretty much bank on Wrexham still being here next session. :fl:

Get In!.....played golf this morning then made the pub for the afternoon, fell off me chair when we went 1 up in the first minute, unbelievable to go 2 up away from home, strike that, in any game this season!

got back home in time to finish off listening on the radio, hearing a soft penalty given away and Arnold saving it at full stretch! This must be our day!

We shipped a goal, it would not be Shrimper fashion to win comfortably. Held Altrincham at bay for the final 5 and time added on.

One swallow doesn't make a summer, but an away win at Altrincham is not to be sniffed at! Happy for Kev and the new backroom team. At least we can be taken seriously for a week lol.

Lastly, Hats off and forelock tugged to the 256 Shrimpers out of the gate of 1,200.

I get the tongue in cheek comments, though i still think some are getting a bit carried away with the Stockport and Challinor hype.

Clearly they are a good side and will be right up there but they've beaten (if memory serves) Dover, Kings Lynn and now Wealdstone in recent weeks. I don't think most people would flinch if Yeovil (for instance) won those games.

Stockport by far the best side we have played so far this season. Relentlessly pressed us and with our love of fanning around at the back, we were exposed. Bad day at the office but Stockport looked very decent.

Stockport County.
Challinor's just got us doing the basics right and starting to get the best out of some quite obviously good players at this level. He's also making some big decisions. Rooney on the bench today, Hogan not in the squad since the Bromley error. He's changed keeper back to Hinchliffe's after a few errors from Ross. I think he's made things more simple for good players, doing what they've proven they can do, I think it's the opposite of him coming up with something fancy.

I'm in a minority on this but I would rather just crack on with the league now, we're buidling some momentum but with the cup game next week at Rotherham who I can't see us troubling too much and the FA Trophy starting, we've only got one league game before Boxing Day which is away at Torquay on the 11th.

Wrexham for example have a game Tuesday and then Saturday, both look very winnable. Just need to keep track of ourselves I suppose and work towards 2 points per game as quickly as we can.

Well we made hard work of that in the last 5 mins but we bounced back with a win. Important that what with us having a free week next weekend

We've got newly beleaguered Yeovil at home on Tuesday, then fellow beleaguers Dover and Weymouth after that.

It's our 'Chesterfield' run of fixtures, so don't be fooled into thinking we're on the march if we end up near the top after it.

Decent performance today, kept the ball on the ground for once. Red card killed Bromley but they still made a few half decent chances. Could of and should of been more then 2 though. Mullin in a midfield role was a bit of a shock but he still managed to bag

If history tells us anything, we tend to lose the games we are expected to win

If history tells you anything, it tells you Wrexham are going nowhere this season. I think it's lovely that after you played us when we were in the Unibond leagues in 2009, you liked us so much you waited here for us so you could play us over and over and over again. :fl:

Can I just say, we're fucking brilliant without John "Non-League Player of the Century" Rooney

Its a bit like us- we are top of the form table and whilst we've got big results in beating Bromley and Halifax we've mostly played teams you'd expect us to beat- and not been hugely convincing. But the flipside is that people were making such a deal about our 'bad start' when we were playing some really tough teams.

As you said before the season has got a lot of twists and turns left in it. I notice you play Grimsby and Notts county in your next league games- those are huge games. We are coming up to the halfway point and it will be interesting to see what the league table looks like after 23 games.

Rooney is a little scrote. Send him off to Fylde or somewhere.

Surely even you can see that he meant a free week from the league, hence important to win today.

No one can defend our ‘chip to the massive bloke at the far post’ corner routine. Score from it constantly.
