Maybe. But even if they only get around 10 each over the season, that would still mean our 4 strikers will be getting around 80 between them, as if Murphy and Tubbs are doing well enough to keep them out they'll be getting 25-30 apiece. Add at least another 20-30 from midfield/defence and I honestly can't see us scoring less then 100 goals minimum, but could easily be a lot more then that.

Aye, alright.

Don't worry mate, been a fan best part of 20 years since I was a kid seen loads of shite performances. Seen us battle the drop many times, get smashed 6-0 at Boston, 6-1 at Luton, 7-0 at Cambridge, lose to Arlesey (who?) get "relegated" losing to Grays already relegated youth team etc etc.

Just enjoying the fact that for the first time since Ecotricity's investment, we're finally set up to get proper value for money. If we do we'll be unstoppable.

Think I can cope with 1 or 2 slip ups early on, wont stop us STORMING TO THE TITLE.

Not going to stoop to your level. Having debates with immature morons is pointless.

Chris can be incredibly bullish at times and the BELT nonsense is aggravating but I quite like his unbridled enthusiasm for FGR. Beats relentless negativity.

Obviously it's got to be someone from forest , total football far and away best team in the whole of the universe green, however in real terms like Scott Rendell however maybe not as sharp as he used to be since injury, Ryan bowman will be there or thereabouts

Lets see if you're still as cocky in 3 weeks time, after we rip you a new one down here on the 13th. Should have smashed you last season, we wont mess up twice.

It's about straddling the line between enthusiasm/confidence and arrogance. Nothing wrong with a bit of confidence but temper it with some acknowledgement of the competition, or at least be knowledgeable about them if you are going to dismiss them.

Throughout most of the varied history of this forum (and it's predecessor), I'm pleased to say WUMing has been relatively untolerated in the non-league section. It's part of the atmosphere that makes this forum fun. If you want all that BELT nonsense head over to the conference forum (and it's terrible layout).

WUMming is fine as long as it's of a decent, relatively harmless quality. Last season was often thread after thread of utter shite, from August to April.

I'm hoping the Dagenham and York contingents can offer this part of the forum a severely needed shot in the arm.

Indeed. I'm not suggesting banning winding people up, but just that the level of it needs to be more subtle rather than just making inflammatory statements to get a reaction. The best wind ups hold some truth to them. Last season got quite bad for this forum, hopefully the users who were posting such things will grow in to reasonable contributors. We are still the same non-league section that tamed LHD...

Daggers and York were decent bunches when they were in the conference section in the past. I don't really read the L2 section, so they could have changed up there, but I hope not too much. I don't anticipate they will bring anything negative. To be fair Tranmere and Cheltenham haven't brought much WUMming either.

Shouldn't matter to you anyway, I guess, seeing as you're leaving this season.

Good point. Clearly not a man of his word then, seeing as he's still hanging around.

Not that anyone would notice if he wasn't here.

This is pretty much spot on (sadly) the trick is to look at the worm but don't bite. There are still plenty of posts worth reading, and posters who post stuff worth reading, however it is amazing how much difference putting someone on ignore can make...reduces the shite count considerably!

I agree, plenty of quality posters on here, shame about the one or two idiots who drag the standards down. Always best to rise above it.

Be a difficult one, not sure I could do that to my long time bro GTFCFish tbh. It wouldn't be right.

4 strikers getting 80 between them? Ha.

Chris used to be serious but now he's purposely turning into a parody of himself.

Fwiw, I think VGR will win the league. Not expecting 'total football' to be the reason for it. Expect red cards, bans, spats and generally more of the same bile we've been used to these last couple of seasons. Tubbs getting 30 goals? Don't make me laugh.

I can't see four strikers getting that many goals either, it is pure fantasy to expect anything like that. What you do need is for a couple of strikers to get in the region of 20-25, as was the case with Cheltenham last season and others before them. If they are producing form like that then there is no way they will be dropped from the team, barring injury or suspension they will likely play in every game, so no chance for other strikers to get anywhere near that total. If your midfielders, or even defenders, can chip in with a healthy goal count then you are in with a chance. Klukowski at York is a prime example, he scored roughly once every three games for us, if he stays fit and their forwards are on form then they could be the team to set the pace.

Agree with the first part of your post, but there is absolutely no chance York will win the league. Not with that manager.

Exactly. It's not unreasonable to expect 40-50 from 2 players but has there ever been a side that has had four 20-goal players (possibly Barca and Real aside)?
