I bet if Sky had televised this one they'd get more viewers than they usually get for the Championship mid-table clashes they love so much.

With Oldham getting beat at the weekend (albeit by Exeter), only Newport present a threat to the playoffs and Exeter, Colchester, Carlisle and Stevenage fans can breath a sign of relief that they don't have to debate whether a draw or an Oldham win would be best and can instead just go all out for an Oldham win.

Newport sit level on points with the two CUFCs and Stevenage, and two points behind Exeter but have a poor goal difference. If they lose this then they remain one of the group of teams on 67 points and would realistically need Colchester, Carlisle and Stevenage all to fail to win on the final day, in addition to an Exeter defeat and a win themselves to claim the playoff place on points.

If it's a draw then Newport can edge ahead of team CCS by a point and just a point behind Exeter. They still need to win their final game as goal difference is out of the question but would finish in the playoff places if Exeter simply draw and they wouldn't need to worry about what everyone else was doing.

If Newport win tonight then they will move into the playoff places a point above Exeter, and then to win on the final day would guarantee them the playoffs (hell they could even move above Tranmere should they lose both their final games). Even a draw on the final day would then do provided Exeter fail to win, but that goal difference would still mean a defeat on the final say would see them knocked back off their perch if Exeter draw and/or one of Colchester, Carlisle or Stevenage win.

Can’t see Oldham having much motivation for this one, as good as Pete Wilde is.
Home win all day long!

If you get fed up you can go and say hello to Nigel Farage who is holding a BREXIT party rally this evening across the road from Dave, next door to Bar Amber actually.

Think the rest of the league has more interest in this than I do. I got my mojo back since scholes went but the season can shit a stick now for all I care
