There were about 10 policemen in the away end which I thought was a little odd. No idea if there had been some trouble before the game but don't think the fixture has historically had history? Only other time I have seen the OB at SB this season was for Borehamwood after how naughty they were last time up here.
Like I said my mate got the train around 11am and there were OB around the station then. Not a clue why, maybe the Aldershot fans will know why?

Wowzers, fucking hell, that's 5 more than AFC Fylde took to Darlington. You Tin Potters are really pulling in the crowds aren't you. :£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£

Must be fun playing at a tinpot regional level where every game is practically within walking distance.

I don't really remember playing regional league football cos we haven't done it for nearly 20 years. Must be fun, jumpers for goalposts, flat caps and whippets at every ground. And a bunch of postmen and binmen doing it for the love of the game. Glad you enjoy supporting grassroots football in that way, good on ya!

You mean you didn't take time out of your evening to watch it?!
Nah I was too busy sticking pins into my John Akinde voodoo doll!
The funny thing was that each time I stuck a pin into it, the fucker dropped down to try and win a penalty...

At least Akinde can take pens though, unlike a certain Mr Bogle....

Akinde might even have had a little hand in him missing as well.
While Bogle was waiting to take it Akinde came up behind him and whispered something in his ear then patted him on his back. Bogle pushed him away but I guess whatever he said worked!

There were 11 of them all hanging around in that little triangle - no idea why.

We've always enjoyed trips to Lincoln and had a good bit of banter before and after in the Golden Eagle like we do every year.

Still, the burger van did a good trade (assuming they have to pay for their grub?

Lots of our fans didn't make it to the game. Trains were fucking about around Woking apparently so they had to go home and try to drive up. Congestion on the M25 / A1 meant they couldn't get to the game on time so a lot of them gave up and went home

Turns out the police outside the away end were there because a group of 'lads' were congregating looking for confrontation after the game (info from someone who was leaving Playzone with their kids before the game ended).

Counted 82 Bluebirds at our end just before the second half kicked off, but there were a few still in the bar so around 90 would be my estimate at Sutton.
Paid homage to the Hope at Carshalton after one of the lads did a spot of research. A community owned real ale house of real merit, well worth a visit for any thirsty traveller.

I was talking to our match liaison officer before the game, and most of the Lincs rozzers were there on a planned exercise, hence why there were a few. Apparently some hung around as word came through a few of the Lincoln kids were getting a hard and fancied taking on a few old men afterwards.

BTW, what the fuck were the 'cheerleaders' infront of the oiks with the drum all about?

I obviously don't follow League Two that closely but does Akinde literally get a penalty every week? Did he 'win' any of his pens on Saturday?

I dunno about every week but he certainly gets his fair share of them yes.
And Barnet's first penalty Gowling tackled him and won the ball (also got the man as well so can understand the decision), and surprisingly enough Akinde dropped to the floor and got a pen. He is an immense player though like a battering ram the only way we could stop him was by fouling him, bizarrely though when outside the box he stays upright but once inside he tends to lose his balance quite a bit......
To be honest though the dodgiest looking pen of the 3 on Saturday was our own in injury time, which Bogle then duly spooned over.

Suprisingly only 4/14 of his goals this year have been penalties. He's pretty much the same player he was in the conference but better. Strong and fast as hell all over the pitch and holds players off with ease... Until he gets to the penalty area.

Given that we'll be bringing quite a few to yours in a couple of weeks (would be suprised if it was less than 400), do you think you will segregate us?

Doubt it, with the exception of the Cup match in 1987 I have never known there to be seggregation at GGL when I have gone before. Saw Sutton get promoted v Aldershot and Aldershot get promoted there and there was no seggregation in those games either.

Dagenham, Woking and Tranmere all bought big numbers and neither were segregated. Both sets of fans mixed amicably. Last season Ebbsfleet bought about 1000 fans for an end of season top of the table encounter, no segregation. And as mentioned we've played some big games against Aldershot Town without needing to segregate (although we would have done in 1999 if the game didn't keep getting moved).

We Sutton-ites are a friendly bunch for the most part, so why waste time segregating games when we don't have to?
