We've been pretty abysmal all season but I thought there was enough talent at the club to keep us up at a canter although I never expected a promotion push from September onwards.
But fuck me, not today. Today we played like a team that expects to go down and doesn't care either. Of the starting eleven six could leave tomorrow and wouldn't be missed.

Fair play to the mighty Robins, they competed, won every second ball, attacked in numbers and apart from a seven or eight minute spell before they scored the first against the run of play pretty much won at a canter. Number 6, the big shaven headed black man and the blonde right wing back both had excellent games i thought.

We're in a death spiral and unless a very good manager is appointed we'll go down with probably the most expensively assembled squad in L2 history.
Take the piss all you want Stags we deserve it and more.

Funnily enough, the only 10-15 mins I heard was the spell before our first goal and it really sounded like we were struggling.

I think the problem being is if you’re getting 6,000 deeply unfortunate souls in there and still in the relegation zone questions would be asked about the chairman, poor management you’d suspect.

It's a combination of bad decisions stacking up. We've overspent on some big flair players for L2 but not balanced it with physical players. We've sacked at least one too many managers and took a punt on Harry Kewell without giving him either time or a transfer window.
We've players not playing to last season's form and while not having a massive injury list we have had important players for us out so that our best team on paper hasn't played much together.
Too many player changes and formation changes.

The biggest problem though has been that the whole club was geared for a promotion push from chairman to the manager to the fans and it's taken until today to fully realise that we are as bad as we've looked all season.
When Kewell was appointed he was expected to take us up the league only now are our expectations realistic with the next manager only expected to keep us up , which is an easier remit.
It is though a proper NCFC standard mess and we've had plenty to compare against.

They seem to have ditched what they were good at last season... ugly, long ball to the two target men trying to be more entertaining maybe?? They looked meh both times against us last year but found a way to win and seemed efficient.

Kewell for example likes football on the deck... chalk and cheese from last season so a strange appointment anyway. Time and time again they were playing themselves into trouble at our place.

It’s a good club, one that I see as similar to us in a lot of ways and hope they sort their shit out as would be tragic to see another traditional name gone from the 92 (especially considering who’s likely to be coming up) but they looked so reliant on Boldewijn the other week that if that’s the case week in week out it will be a tough ask.
