As much as I fancied us at Newcastle I'm the opposite this morning, think the hosts will be hell bent on avenging boxing day and we've made a standard we need to keep up with.

Being honest I can't see where PNE will score from in specifics but with Pearsons set pieces he will cause trouble.

The way to win for us is Sam putting Pearson away early, I suspect he would be less inflammatory with Sammy than 1FF, we know how to attack Vermijl, but they know Reach.

Wednesday used their get out of jail free card yesterday but that's what happens when you don't convert chances.

Hugill did well when he came on but he should have put us 2-0 up, Makienok's header in the first half looked a bad miss too.

McGeady was quality in the second half.

Have to say we were very poor, but think that is taking something away from Preston, their brand of in your face, Hunt in packs, high tempo football added to some aggressive attacking play, has to be given credit. It was exactly the same at Deepdale last year. Our lot were overpowered and out played both times. Good to see we hung in and got a point though even though it was completely undeserved.

Actually feel quite sorry for Preston after that, our worst performance of the season by some distance and yet we still somehow grind out a good away point. It looked like we could have played until Tuesday and still not scored, just no movement or creativity going forward with Forestieri out, and the lack of pace was another major issue. Preston are good at what they do and will again have a good season, good point for us.

Definitely mate liked the look of Daniel Johnson in your midfield and wouldn't mind Cunningham playing at left back for us. Just look poor up front that Makienok looked like Nuhiu and Hugill looks like another donkey, what's going on with Stevie May is he still injured?

He's back in training but he's not being rushed, it was a really bad injury, been out for over 13 months.
