We've just beaten Hitchin Town 2-0 with goals from Rea and Collins.

Collins has scored at least 4 times this summer so far I think. Good start for him

Crewe have just drawn 0-0 away at Barrow. Played our full strength squad, doesn't sound like that great a performance. Got Bury on Saturday now.

Finished 2-1 to blades , positives are that we competed with them well, and our defence looks solid! O'Grady will tear league 2 up though!!

Btw, what a player we missed out on on David brooks!

Lost 1-0 to a controversial penalty against Derby. Decent performance though

Tbf, so has Adi Yussuf. My mum could probably get a couple during pre-season.

Fucking class performance against a ridiculously strong Derby side. Took a dodgy penalty to win it for them. Very much looking forward to the new season. Think we're going to surprise a lot of people.

Lost 1-0 to Weymouth. Apparently it was a disjointed performance and we couldn't score despite 30 odd attempts at goal.

Trialists Jack Barthram, Ryan Brunt and Tyler Harvey all played in the second half so we will see if they get offered anything.

One real bright point was 16 year old attacking midfielder Jack Sparkes really impressed and hit the post twice. He seems to be the latest real talent that's pushing for first team chances.

Darren Bent

I'd say that's a stupidly strong line-up for them.

To be fair that is a very decent first XI.

He got injured taking the penalty apparently! Fair play to Curtis Davies, young Dan Turner did a Cryuff turn on him by backheeling the call through his legs and took the bants well on Twitter. Hopefully Rowett will be suitably impressed enough to lend us Callum Guy again as he did Alex Jones last year. If we can get him and a decent left back we won't be far off ready.

Montano could be a hit for us this season on the wide expanses of Vale Park. Seems to be a crowd pleaser and hopefully put his past issues behind him.

Sounded positive last night despite losing 2-1 to Sheff United. Our signing Binom Williams from Peterborough is now out for months though which means we don't really have a left back now..

We have Posh on Saturday.

Oxford have pulled out of our friendly on Tuesday. That seemed a weird one full stop, especially on a Tuesday night. Apparently Forest U23's are stepping in.

If they all did that the world would be a happier place.

I dunno, all the extra toilet paper needed would mean more trees being chopped down.
Don't you even care about the fucking rainforests?!! :dis:

And its preseason so it doesn't matter who they put out, You could beat barcalona and still have a shit season.

Can people stop getting carried away and stop trying to make your teams sound so good by exaggerating just how good the other team was... Its preseason and a lot of players don't care.

Well done, first sensible thing you've said all day.

I'd read that it was supposed to be Port Vale vs Derby u23? Clearly not.

My first visit to Accrington last night, that away end must be grim on a November night.

Thought Accy had some tidy players, seemed a young squad and they gave us a game.

Been there twice on Saturdays, one in September and one in April. Still grim! Especially when you lose both games 4-1.

Winning 3-2 with 3 goals in 5 minutes, having been 2-0 down at half-time was a lot better. Didn't save us though did it unfortunately.

We have them away in August, just before winter sets in up there in September.

I firmly believe that me missing that was a punishment for me not being arsed about going after the previous two seasons!
