I think we just happen to be at the French training camp at the same time more than anything, a decent test though. We've played a few French teams over the last few years, Calais was a decent trip! A lot of them are considerably more local than half this league!

We've just announced we are playing Hull City on the 15th July in Portugal as part of our tour. It will be played at FC Ferreiras's ground Estadio de Nora. We will also play another Championship side but they haven't been announced at the venue on Wednesday 12th. Could be Millwall as they have announced they're playing 2 friendlies in Portugal iirc but haven't announced their opponents.

It appears Millwall have confirmed they aren't playing any games in Portugal, it is just a training camp for them. I'm not sure why it remains a great secret who the 2nd opponents are or why.

Wow, actual decent home friendlies for once. I still won't go to them but at least they're trying instead of Carlisle or Bury at home in recent seasons.

A couple of changes to our pre-season since the opening post. Gone are mildly interesting games with Amien and Granada, to be replaced by a home game against a third division Belgian side and an away game at Colchester. Woo.

Went to the St Albans v Peterborough game.

Was 4-1 to POSH when I left with about 5 to go..

Certainly Peterborough played with a lot of attacking threat considering the weather/first game of Pre-season maybe and 2 of their new strikers scored..
