Ryan Lowe has forced his way back to Bury as player coach, confirmed today. "Mutual termination". Player power.

He obviously isn't a fan of the 'never go back' phrase.

Isn't that 3 or 4 stints he's had at Bury and Crewe?!

3 stints with us, 3 stints with Bury now. It's like a bad love story. We've spent the last 15 years under various managers either trying to sign him or signing him, so I'm a bit surprised we never offered him a coaching role (considering the whole first team coaching staff are ex players).

I can't get my head around the whole mutual termination stuff though. First team player, captain, top scorer, an attack built around in the summer. Here we are in a relegation battle. One club comes calling and the contract is ripped up. "Can't stand in the way of his career" apparently. Wtf.

Interested to see who comes in to replace him (if anyone). Some fans in fairy land thinking Lowe was on enough wages to re-build the team.

Surely the imperceptible Jordan Bowery was signed as a ready made replacement?

You won't be excited once you've been once, trust me.

Assuming you go down anyway

Oh. Also. Our only goalscoring threat (by which I mean isn't Ollie Palmer or a youth team player) was stretchered off.

Should've beaten Cheltenham today but Artell has us creating chances and attacking again. Desperately need to convert our chances but at least we didn't gift wrap Cheltenham yet another win (though we almost did at the end).

Still think there'll be two worse sides than us but we need to start winning games and fast.

You were nearly, but not quite as shit as Notts county - you gave it your best, but were still slightly better.

You've a solid defence and the midfield is alright, but as I'm sure you already know, the attacking option is non-existent - like how we were when Palmer was a forward for us - he's a fraud of a footballer.

Newport won today and Cheltenham got a point - it'll all be down to who brings who In this next week....

We are now down to one fully fit striker, Edwards sounded a broken man in that interview.

Goodnight.

Nolan has brought some structure and confidence in. Hardy has brought a feel good factor. I just hope we can turn Feb into a successful month. Accy, Orient and Cheltenham all up in the next few weeks

Leyton Orient are definitely going down, still think Westley could pull off a miracle at Newport.

Cheltenham and Accrington will be fine, sticking with good managers should see them through.

Orient should get 3 points next week so that could be the boost they need to turn it round.

I say this with no pleasure but I cannot see Leyton escaping this year. Mind you if we have our usual wobble, probably record a victory against us in a few Tuesday's time

Having saw both sides recently (obviously having seen orient once and county twice) was the lack of attacking intent.

Whereas we were poor ourselves against county at meadow lane you got the feeling we could have gone off for 10 minutes and still not conceded. Orient were solid in defence - nicky hunt played well as per - but offered nothing upfront. As said elsewhere, Ollie Palmer is a fraud of a footballer.

Any orient or county fan reading this (fortunately for them) can't currently comprehend how wank the conference is, like there's few ways in which you could make it sound good.

It's a complete disaster

Think Westley actually complained about the rugby being played on the pitch but in typical *rugby anti football style they sort of just said "get on with it - maybe its the players your supposed to manage at fault"

*Of course there are things football could learn from rugby but they do like to rub in certain things about their game compared to football.
