If Gateshead had held onto their 1-0 lead today, Maidstone would still be bricking it (we're still not safe). Last week we were 1-0 down to Barrow and according to Flashscores were back in a relegation spot for a few minutes. This, despite a nine (?) match unbeaten run, being one of the form teams and never having been below fourth from bottom. Are we living in a parallel points universe to everyone else? I have nightmares of winning the next five games and still needing to beat Tranmere to stay up.

Torquay still have Lincoln and Dover to play away from home. Surely they HAVE to beat Braintree next Monday to stand any chance?

Chester seem to be gifting everyone 3 points at the moment so hopefully we can claim our annual win on Easter Monday.

York played well yesterday but I would expect any team to pick points up against Chester they didn't have a clue what to do with our front 3.
Can not believe they won at Torquay last weekend they looked a quality team earlier in season.

We have about 12 players. The board have neglected the team, and this will be our downfall.

Keep the score down at Lincoln and pray that we're in a position to get out of the bottom four come Monday evening.

Just seen the phantom disallowed goal by Woking, even though they are scrapping down there with us, that is an extremely harsh decision on them and could be vital, I'd be fuming if that was against york

McCarthy's head imploded around Christmas.

Despite not playing well we've actually managed three away wins on the bounce. So I suppose watch out Lincoln and Forest Green.....

We only do 1-nil wins these days, so don't worry about us keeping te score down. Boring, boring Lincoln ;)

With Steve Burr giving a dead and buried looking Stalybridge Celtic side a fighting chance of avoiding dropping out of the Conference North, it's hard to follow Southport's decision to get rid of him, while Preece has not improved them at all.

If I recall, 55 was official safety, so until then... no chicken counting for me.
The official line is if:

1) York drop points against EITHER Wrexham OR FGR

OR

2) Woking drop points against EITHER Chester OR Dagenham

OR

3) We pick up any points against EITHER Boreham, FGR, Lincoln OR Tranmere

We are officially SAFE (the missing game is York V Woking, they can't both pick up 3 points)

I think I'm correct in saying when we got relegated into the league, they got their place back having actually been relegated in the same season so it's rather ironic that we could both be departing the league at the same time whilst also starting and ending that period at Southport as well.

Oh, and Chester must be counting their lucky stars that there aren't another 2 or 3 games left or they'd be in this thread.

Monday is now one of the biggest games in our recent history. Anything but a win and it's basically curtains.

Unfortunately we've been absolutely cack at home in recent months, and our players don't cope in high pressure scenarios.

Going to need a beer or 5 beforehand I think.

Intriguing relegation battle! Still cannot call it!

Really hope Torquay survive. Good club but its looking bleak now. As yellow says must win on Monday

Solihull are careering to relegation. Looks like Woking will survive unfortunately.

Yep.

We've possibly got enough but my god our season has spectacularly fallen apart. I think we were four points off the play-offs at Christmas.

Thought Guiseley were supposed to be the most in-form team in Europe yet they are BACK IN THIS NOW.

When you beat us the week before Christmas you were above us in the table! Crazy to think that when you look at the table now.

There's no team in the league worse than us right now. We won't get another point but I think we've got enough....

Never mind, at least Fylde are replacing them.
