Although I’d like to add about the Nathan Jones style… that will probably get you promoted in the next few seasons if you stay up this season

Honestly he’s a huge step down from Baxter. Can see the Nathan Jones style in full swing. So direct. And 5 yellows. You’re gonna get a red surely.

Some goal that from Maghoma.
Not a good keeper at this level.....Brought in on the cheap expecting not to play

It’s great to see this set of players put in a shift but they’re going to be knackered come the end. Chuks coming on at some point will be a game changer

Coventry should have been sent off for a second yellow and blatant foul on Dacres Cogley not given which was a head injury and whilst he’s on the floor Charlton score again. Ffs. We are defending terribly but how’s he allowed that

Hmm don’t think it was a second yellow personally but we’re on thin ice.
As for the goal, by the letter of the law the referee should have stopped play as he did eventually hold his head but Dacres Cogley couldn’t decide if he’d injured his head or another body part, certainly wasn’t a foul though

Jesus fucking christ. Most one sided game you'll ever see and they hit us on the break. About 10 own goals for us this season

Typical weak mentality from Vale… doesn’t help we are so down to the bare bones we’ve had to take two of our most key players off for a kid and Weir but that’s weak.

Burton now leading having scored both of their shots on target. Northampton scored all three of theirs on Tuesday. Taxi for Sol Brynn…

Doesn’t matter who’s the manager, same problems he is faced with, having to utilise youth players and a defence that can’t defend.

Moore will learn a lot today and not much of it good. To be doubled by a side that’s not been outside the bottom 4 all season is a damning incitement of this squad currently.

Can’t see us getting out of this, only hope now is Garrity, Plant and Clark being back shortly gives us enough time to get the results we need.

Embarrassing again from the Vale and another defeat against a side down the bottom and around us which is going to prove very costly.

What a win and what a week!! These boys do not deserve to go down and they're giving themselves every chance.

So much better from us. Can’t fault the effort against a weakened but still decent Bolton side. Still very raw in places but at least showing the fight needed to stay in this division.

We should never have lost that game, done everything but score second half. The Wigan keeper made some good saves and the bar denied Udoh. Somehow we finish the game with nothing to show. Big game with Reading next!

Another win at home, could get used to this.

First half, nothing in it, Exeter trying to play out from the back, us closing them down, them smashing it up to Cox and him losing the header. Too many bodies in the middle, no chances. 2nd half has to be better.

Both teams had more attacking play 2nd half, Rankine was Exeters stand out player, he got in behind and a ridiculous save from Jensen, it smashed the bar.

2 mins later we do the same thing, hit the post and their keeper palmed a shot away from Hamilton.

Our subs changed it with Bishop coming on for ineffective Duffy. A change of formation and within a few mins threaded the ball through to Taylor to dink over their keeper.

Unsure why but Exeter took off Rankine, and after that, always felt we could see it out.

Think we'll be safe this season

I dont see a good game there like you and Steo......Awful defending/keeping from us first half
Two quality goals from Maghoma and Bodvarrson and a lot of individual errors.
Shocking time wasting tactics, think you had five booked just for time wasting.
Thank God Santos is nearly back

I meant a good game for a neutral. I can’t deal with us defending like that every week. Forrester in for Iredale at very least for me for midweek. Don’t like Jones and Iredale in the same back 3. Basically 2 fullbacks. 1 of them with 2 proper centre backs for me.

By our standards this season it was an excellent performance for us but still littered with issues. These players have been lazy and lacking effort, today was a different story. I think our pressing today was superb and forced mistakes at times.

I’m not a fan of the timewasting but 2/3 yellows for it were before the 50th minute for kicking the ball away in frustration. I actually think the ref managed it well although our keeper took the mick. They also added on plenty of time and more after the minimum time was up which isn’t always the case

That one felt sweet. Bit of spice to it after the final day a couple of years ago and it feels cathartic to beat the Gas at Sixfields. I thought the Gas were pretty poor, so many times they just ran the ball out of play or misplaced passes. Thought we controlled it first half with both teams having flat periods, and having to mix up our defence in the second half left us shaky and let Rovers in.

Got a bit nervy at 2-1 but wow Marc Leonard what a hit. Far far too good for League 1.

Also enjoyed the Rovers fans giving it the 7 signs on their fingers at 3-1 down…gone well hasn’t it considering we’ve gone above them today. The futility of lower league football.

Yeah, surprised he took off Rankine as by all accounts he was playing well (I didn't watch so just going by others).
My guess is it was predetermined. He hasn't been starting lately and it was a surprise he didn't start with Harper.

Caldwell said we weren't good enough, which was fair enough, but we can't keep not performing in games like this

Big game against Fleetwood next Saturday, I'm expecting a big improvement.

Third game in a row we've let in 2 goals in the final 15mins and looked knackered.

This Burton side I have to say was probably the most unspectacular side I've seen this season, time wasting from the off, let us have the ball and dictate the game and offered very little in open play.

The second half they went for it more, but we still controlled the game up until the 72nd minute when Omar Beckles made a glaring error to allow the equaliser for 1-1 and just like Tuesday night we went to pieces for a few minutes and conceded another a few minutes later. This time we didn't have enough left to force another late goal.

5 games in two weeks eventually catching up to us again. Pratley and Moncur struggle to do 90mins as well and we didn't have anyone to replace both when leading, Jordan Browns ban also catching up with us today. Also losing Dan Happe at the back may be a bigger loss than most of us thought.

A free week for once, we need it. 3 wins from those 5 games though. Playoffs too far for our squad in is current stat for sure.

i thought you looked alright, but were light up front. Cox did very little, but when he is smashed the ball up, always going to be a struggle to win the ball. Your keeper seemed to want to really slow the game down even more first half, and were quite content playing the ball at the back. Game of very few chances, especially first half. You score with that effort that hit the bar, and who knows.

Also how old is Sweeney? Looks about 40, and also 40 stone. We seemed to target him first half, with closing him down quickly as a weak link.

Awful, Awful, awful. Cheltenham have Pett who was a decent enough player for us but I agreed on him being released because he's a lower end league 1 / league 2 player but he's absolutely ran that today. Taylor who looked like an 80 year old playing for us also notches. Outfought, outthought and out of this league. We had an awful squad last time we were relegated from this league, but at least they tried. This team looks to have given up. Another team below us who won't have an easier 3 points this season. With the greatest of respect to Cheltenham, Fleetwood, Carlisle, we have to beat them regularly to have any chance. The fact Cheltenham have taken 6 points off us is a damning indictment of this club and where we stand. Cheltenham are in the position they are in for a reason, but they play to their strengths and it is picking them up points.

We have a new manager playing the same formation that has consistently failed us for 2 seasons now. I hope he has seen that our players are nowhere near capable. We need to go back to basics....defend deep and hope to scab one, because going toe to toe with even the poorest teams in the league is only going to end badly.

Be a miracle if Moore keeps this lot up, they've given up.

Flickers mentioned it on his pod, the reason Crosby had to go was losing the “bread and butter” games against your 4-6 point sides I.e strugglers.

We’ve lost twice to Cheltenham
Once out of one to Fleetwood 3-0
Lost 3-2 to Burton
Lost once to Carlisle (don’t think they’ve won either side of that in months)
Lost to Shrewsbury once out of one

Charlton aside our record against the bottom sides is dire. 3 points at home to Carlisle, and these are the games you need 4-6 points to keep out of trouble.

Have a great evening Carver.

I'm absolutely flabbergasted how it wasn't us who won 4-0 as the better team definitely lost today and you just got the rub of the green. A totally freak result that one was.

And by the way what a shit following you brought up here for a L1 match you little woke posh university tinpotter twats.

We took over 4000 to Bolton.
