Absolutely fucking infuriating to concede in the 8th minute of 6 minutes stoppage time, but it was a poor game between 2 poor sides and LCFC were chucking the kitchen sink at it in the end.

So, fair enough - we move on, 1-1.
Karma is a bitch ain't it

Cambridge (H) first isn't it?
Yes but I'm referring to our usual bottle job in the North (Carlisle excepted). I know we have Rovers before then too, where Jevani will no doubt score

I’m trying to think which of them would be say that maybe Ripley on a windup? The others are too nice. Either way we won’t be getting awarded the three points. Think that would be a slippery slope if they did as much as I wouldn’t complain if they did.
Hard to say, not sure of a precedent for it at that stage of a game. It’s not like the Bolton or Orient scenario where it was nothing either club could do anything about. Vale statement later apparently so see what is what i assume about compensating the fans.

Fair point against Wigan I think. Wigan looked good, moved it nicely and were constantly probing but we defended well. Not many clear cut chances and neither keeper had much to do. 2 defeats in 11 and another point towards safety. Could do with more options off the bench as all we had in an attacking sense today was a half fit striker but I question our January recruitment and whether we’ve got the ambition. Suspect we’ll wait to dump highest earner Danny Hylton at the end of the season.

He is due at least some kind of contribution as its been about 3.5 months since he did anything of note.
Missed 2 chances today with only the keeper to beat (one was given as a foul but he didnt know that) and hit another one wide from close range.
Looks a shadow of the player we saw playing for your lot

Comfortably beaten as predicted. Not helped by some questionable officiating but as I’ve always said the shit will always sink to the bottom, and we’ll be back there soon enough.

We are a truly terrible team, probably the worst that’s ever stunk this league up.

As I’ve said we needed 11 new players from front to back to get us out of this, but even then it would be a big ask for them to settle in quickly enough to save us.

We’re 100% down, so I’d just like to see us go down while having a go, try some patterns of play, some attacking football, go down with some dignity.

Be interesting to hear from any Cambridge fans who went to the game.
There's no doubt this was a much improved performance from Fleetwood and I'm tempted to say we at least deserved a point. However following the game live scores it was the hosts who finished stronger and we are now clearly their favourite team to play against, played 3 won 3 !! - you will miss us next year ( but not a lot )
So Charlie Adam I'm sure will be gutted by this result, it was winnable game, and to concede in extra time is even more sickening. We are not quite in the last chance saloon, they need to find a win from somewhere but that's proving rather difficult at the moment
Pompey at home next...who knows ?

You spent ten years under Ainsworth getting 99th minute winners. Usually against us!

Fair to a point.

We didn’t spend the entirety of his reign like that, there was a purple patch but certainly not at the beginning, and I don’t think at the end.

The “dark arts” have been nowhere near as prevalent this season - if they were then I think we’d be averaging 12 mins stoppage time a game, but the refs have rightly cracked down on that shit now (from everyone, not just us).

Barnsley have now taken 4 points off us over the two games and barely deserved one.
Same old story though we are not taking our chances (more shots on target today) and we are too easy to score against, albeit both our best CBs were missing today
Plenty have been released or loans ended but MT already said we had a big squad (we did but fringe players aint good enough) so expecting maybe a couple of uninspiring loans as the reason is pretty much over already.
I'd be very surprised if Barnsley were not a league one side next season.

I thought you were crap again to be honest, but so were we for the first 70 mins which was the difference between the first two games.

Screamed like the sort of game that happens to teams that end up getting relegated.

I completely have sympathy with Reading's plight but this shouldn't have been allowed to abandon the game. It had been widely publicised all week but the club and police were completely unprepared.

This now puts Vale at a significant disadvantage in my opinion. We will probably now have to play it on a Tuesday night with about a third of the following (nearly 1000 there today), might even be behind closed doors which is worse. Travelling would probably be on the day for a night game, whereas the team stayed over last night so fully refreshed.

Also, what about the minimum £100 that each Vale fan will have spent today. Do they get that back? Again, I completely sympathise with Reading's plight, but you shouldn't drag other teams into your plight. It should be a 3-0 win awarded to us but the spineless EFL won't do that.

In all my years supporting Pompey that is the worst first half performance I've ever seen. To gift them three incredibly amateur goals was bad enough but the penalty save was the shit cherry on top. The second half was an absolute non-event.

This team seems to have completely bottled it and I'm not sure how we turn this around and arrest the slide. The only thing I can think of is a plethora of decent signings coming in pronto, because the way things are going, we won't even finish in the play-offs!

If it was widely publicised for a week they were going to be trying to get the game abandoned, you shouldn’t have gone if you were that arsed about the 100 quid

On the flip side if we have to play them our injuries might have cleared up and they might have lost their better players considering one of the issues is allegedly key players being sold off in January.

The rules are murky on it. The suggestion is we get the three points (0-0 walkover) as the rules state if the abandonment is down to one team and/or its members then the opposition is awarded the win… however what does that mean in terms of “members”.

The key thing though is our fans get compensated as some will have spent a lot of money and Reading finally get rid of their owner… the issue with replaying it is what happens at their next home game? Do you get this happen again? I think the EFL will be worried about that occurrence so may come down hard.

Let’s hope they get sorted though as even with our protests etc it never got this far thanks to Carol.

They said they would try to get the game abandoned against us though and just did the tennis ball thing...and that was 7th Nov.
Ironically we were well in control of that game until the tennis balls came on, so seemed to help them.

In all honesty as one of those there I knew the risk well in advance this could happen so can’t complain when it does. The money is a write off as far as I’m concerned. The whole point of protest is it’s meant to make people sit up and take notice which am sure is what happened today. Could have been us or anyone else it was against just wish them well sorting it.

I naively believed that the club would be prepared for such an eventuality. They will have surely seen the plans and should have had contingency in place.

I'm fortunate that I can swallow £100 but what about those who follow Vale everywhere and literally swallow up a high percentage of their income going today? Should they not bother going on the off chance that a game might be abandoned?

Paying the best part of £30 for what was about 8 minutes of football after tennis balls had already disrupted play.

Like I said, I have sympathy for Reading....we had an owner that was holding the club to ransom, but we didn't affect other fans or teams through our methods. They made their point and then should have fucked off the pitch.

A MASSIVE overhaul is needed in the summer because everything about us on the pitch is fucking shit. We need a far better squad AND coaching staff too.

There's hope for next season even if it's in L2 but ffs it's going to be torture watching that crap for the rest of this season :ffs:

As I said, he was resuscitated twice whilst in the stand - the players had been off for about 40 mins by the time he'd been taken away on the stretcher.

I'm not sure any player or fan would have been up to cheering their team on in a game that would have seemed pointless following what had just happened.

Yeah fair points. I still would say to those who can’t afford to burn £100 on a pointless day out then yeah give this one a miss…
