They cancelled the 17.52 which meant around 200 of us had to cram onto the 18.46 - Which ran on time and got back in at 23.00. It was busy, not the worst I have ever seen, but busy.

Feel sorry for you lot having to rely on them every single week, last week what they did for your game with Bolton was disgraceful.
They're absolutely hopeless. Knackered our playoff final turnout - no trains on the way down. Had to travel the day before and overnight it. Got the train back after the match, and it was absolutely rammed - they had to let us into the standard premium carriages, and even then there was no spare seat.

Shambles of a franchise, can't believe they've just been awarded an extended longterm contract. Used to love travelling on the trains but simply can't trust them at this point.

Where did you end up going?
I did a few as we caught the train.
Think they were -
Manga carta
Wig and mitre
Prince of wales
And a cheap Wetherspoons type pub in the centre - lots of home fans.
So many more I could have done that looked fantastic. Probably missed the best ones down side streets.

As expected really. Always a frustrating game against Burton. Have we ever beaten then? That defeat was on the stupidity of Mandroiu.

First half, we looked marginally better but no chances created really by either side. A Burroughs effort the closest we came. Burton passing the ball out of play constantly.

2nd half they started better, but then a stupid 2 footed challenge from Mandroiu and ref had no option. Within a couple of mins, Burton hook a corner in and OG.

Burton then sub their striker and bring on full back Caprice and sat back. We looked better playing with 10, but no strikers, and now with Mandroiu out for 3, going to be a tough spell.

Wouldn't have argued if that game ended 0-0 before the sendig off, it was certainly heading that way.
We actually beat Burton 5 times in a row would you believe?
Both games in 19/20 & 20/21 then the away in 21/22 but since then...
They've won the 3 last here.
Might be better with a proper striker and moving the ball quicker but it was Saturday so plenty of beer numbs it out

I don't go as often these days mainly due to the cost so Saturday was just my 4th game.
Previous 3 all wins and none conceded.
Clearly missing a focal point.
The risk of signing Tyler Walker has been risk but House getting injured has made it worse and then an on loan striker has also been injured

A lot of our fans had a short list, Walker, Sam
Smith etc and they were all doom and gloom as they signed elsewhere and literally all of them have had long term injuries! (As well as Wilson now to be fair!)

Could be a cracker in a few weeks as we are pretty strikerless now!

We scored 9 without any strikers! Just get your defenders to have a dig at goal, it worked for us.

Pleased you had a good time. You missed some good uns though - Duke William and Beerheadz up hill, although Prince of Wales used to be my local.

Also missed some good ones down the hill - Straight and Narrow and Cardinals Hat!

Theres always next time

If we still have the same manager next season I might stay in the pubs and not bother with the game…

Surely a bit harsh, you've come up relatively unexpectedly and will take time to adjust, you get games like that at this level, we went to Derby and won 2-1 last season deservedly for example then had to come back from 2-0 down late on to scrape a draw at home to FGR a week later!
Na not harsh. If you’d seen our performance you’d agree it deserved criticism. Poor body language from players and complacency. The total opposite of the previous week. Not acceptable.

Crikey, you started at the furthest point from the Stadium - hope you didn't park at the top of the Steep Hill and have to walk back that way!

Thankfully we caught the train…
I will do it better next year. Hopefully we are both in the same division.
It’s always been a good city for a drink. Like York. You are very lucky to have all that on your doorstep.
