Creepy away for us.

Great start by them, and I hope Will Wright is doing well. I always had more time for him than a lot of other Gills fans. A whole hearted trier and one of the best dead ball takers. Could stick one in the top corner against us, like he has already done once for them. He seemed to get too much stick for the occasional mistake which, in fairness, he does have in him.

I would like to crow about the table but it means f-all this early, as most teams are at different stages of bedding new players in, etc and we have only been winning 1-0.

Big thanks to Crawley for Nichols and so far Nadesan looks a great acquisition. At the very least he will run all day and give defenders no rest, plus he seems to get in the right positions.

I expect this game to be tight and would be satisfied with a draw at this stage.

Rumours that Mansfield have 15 top League 2 players all out injured and can barely raise a team so should be a routine win for us here.

Pleased we've got 7 points on the board ahead of our next two games. Stockport will surely improve and I can't see them going winless over a 4/5/6 game period. Would take a draw if offered now but expecting a defeat. 2-1.

Completely injured themselves out of it. In August.

Think I preferred listening to how Carlisle lost every week.

Should be an easy Grimsby win considering they have Lionel Eisa down the wing and we have about 4 players fit.

Should be the game of the day at Wrexham. We’ve had an incredible 65 shots in the 3 games we’ve played so far - we’ll rub over the fact only a third we’re on target! Hopefully we’ll have some of the 6 missing last night back. Our midfield only seem capable of going forward - they give zero protection to the defence. Shit or bust approach from Flynn.

We're still finding our feet and typically end any start Swindon have that is good, so thats a good omen. I feel that we are still finding our feet, and missing around 8 players who could easily get in the first 11.

Can't wait :)

Derek Adams. Just who we don't need right now.

Yann Songo'o overhead kick to win it for 'em. 1-0 Morecambe.

We’re already establishing our mad possession and passing numbers, but otherwise still don’t think we’ve found the right balance, seem to have too many creators and not enough finishers currently, and we’re playing a different back three every game.

Doncaster presumably won’t be anywhere near as negative as Morecambe were, hopefully a decent game.

Were playing Mansfield during the year of the Stag so expect a comfortably away win, unless they have players out injured obviously.

Not having enough finishers in the side isn't an issue when you have Langstaff and McGoldrick starting surely.

Grimsby is a bit like crewe and doncaster where i’m not expecting a defeat (clearly will happen now!)

We’ve been decent away in the 2 games so far and dominated both possession and shots but sadly not got the wins the 2 performances deserved.

More of the same saturday in how we’re playing/passing etc should see us get at least a point.

McGoldrick missed a good chance last night but he’s playing very deep, more of a midfielder. We’ve binned Chicksen off in favour of Jones at wing back, the latter is a miles better footballer but another who’s trying to get on the ball and make stuff happen, whereas Chicksen’s simple attack the far post constantly was really effective and generally always gave us a second player in the six yard box for crosses.

Think we’ll work it out quite soon but feels like we’ve got about six creative midfielders all trying to set up Langstaff who’s being man marked by three people all the time. You’re not going to lose many games if you have 75% possession every time though, so that’s good. We look a bit like we did at the start of last season where there’s some promising signs but we haven’t worked out the right combinations to fit it all together yet.

Johnson, Boateng and Lewis all out for 4-6 weeks and Kilgour untill next season so bit of a headache for Clough Saturday.

I wonder if George Williams will be fit to play, that would help fill the RB role, Maris to replace Lewis in midfield I imagine.

Yeah. it’s an odd one to have 3 games into the season, bet he wasn’t expecting that after last season *sigh* tbh i’d imagine what you’ve said is correct, we do have more depth than we had last season so hopefully these things impact us less than last season.

Bit harsh on Crewe and Donny comparing them to Grimsby.

We looked really good last night against Harrogate, dispatching of them with ease. Dawes went all out attack from the off, something not quite in the Micky Mellon playbook, and it worked.

Hopefully we do the same against Salford. We usually beat this lot at home, so im hoping for another. 6 points from 12 wouldnt be a disaster, especially as our performances have been good on the whole.

I don’t know why Mansfield are moaning about defensive injuries. They have plenty of strikers to cover for them.
Ingredients to a successful side that. Slot a striker in at RB - he’ll prob will POTY too.
