People are looking at the league table after 6 games???
Should be banned, but I’d say two more league performances like our previous two and Harris will be shown the door.

Why would he be shown the door so early? Also who’s an ideal replacement? Way too early to be talking like this.

It's madness. Everyone knows until the 10th league game is completed it's all about attendances (home and away) then we all revert to league standings.

Mental.

No idea where Mansfield are in the table all I know is we have accumulated 10 points :D

Me too, i assume we’re somewhere in the top half and know we’re still unbeaten

Yeah. When teams can go up or down by 5 or 6 places based on the results of 1 round of games is plain daft.

I tend to think people who look at the table and see they’re top after 6 games get all giddy and giggly. In olden times a ‘touch of the vapours’.

I tend to find that the people who refuse to look at the league table after 6 games generally aren’t top of it.
You were bottom after game 1 and everyone on here was certainly looking at it then!

But 'giddy and giggly' is good though. Sutton were top after matchday 1, and they can never take that away from them.

6 games is a tad early. We are twelfth but beat Bradford on Saturday and we go to second (even if only for a couple of hours)!

If we do I’m screen-shotting that table as it will never happen again.

It’s the manner of the defeats, we’re barely even having shots on target and have conceded 5 in the last two. Ask the Grimsby or Colchester fans about our previous two performances. It’s basically the same system that saw us bottom of the football league last Christmas but with more expensive players.

As for who I’d like, well the Cowleys are still out of a job if they fancy dropping to L2 again.

Sounds like a lot of your performances in the first half of last season when you had Mandron and Kashket up front.

It’s only two games though, and you won ur first four. Your fanbase if that’s a common opinion need to grow up.

Exactly that, just with different players. Instead of long balls in to the flanks for those two to aimlessly chase down it’s Nichols and Nadesan instead.

Harris has been our manager for quite a considerable amount of time and these aren’t new problems, if he was a new appointment he’d obviously get a lot more backing.

Harris is playing Hurstball it seems, can be very effective but you need to make sure you never go either 2 goals up or 2 goals down. If you go two goals up you have to immediately bring on Danny Parslow and if you go 2 goals down you've definitely lost the match. Keep within a single goal margin at all times and you've successfully mastered Hurstball.

He could well be Hurst in disguise then, did he also wait until the 70th minute to introduce any non-injury related subs?

70th?? That would be incredibly early for Hurst! He waited until 88mins at Walsall to make his first tactical sub when it was 1-1. Was 89mins yesterday.

August Champions means nothing, totally agree. Being bottom after six is a worry though, it tends to mean a long hard season is coming or always has when we've had very poor starts.

If you’ve watched your team for 6 or so games you get a feeling about how the season will pan out. You’ll know the players that get long term injuries you’d struggle to replace - that sort of stuff. We’re suspect if we get a raft of injuries and, defensively, we’re not brilliant. Can we consistently create and take chances? No idea, tbh. We’re unbeaten but could just as easily crumble away as maintaining our start.

The best thing about being in the lower 2 leagues - nobody really knows.

Must be a different Newport to the one I went to 2 years ago. There was a full scale riot with it kicking off all over the centre. Coppers, Dogs and two sets of supporters battling it out. You must have gone on a half day closing.
We had trouble at Kingsmeadow back I the day but yesterday was fine. Maybe it's because I'm a 60+ woman who only wants a chat. Oxford supporter in my hotel in Barrybados this evening and we chewed the fat for a while. At the end of the day, we all love our teams and football in general.
