Can't stand teams that turn up and just go through the motions. Thats exactly what England are doing at the moment. Qualified and playing like they couldn't care less. We proved 12 months ago that we are easily better than Switzerland when we can be arsed. Roy needs to get a rocket up their arses and tell them to play with a bit of passion.

Have a throw on half way, refuse the risk to take it quick and break, instead throw it back into our own half to keep the ball. Fair enough. Shelvey gets it a second later and immediately pings it 60 yards straight to the Swiss full back. England are left chasing Swiss keep ball for the next 5 minutes.

Slovakia/Ukraine is still goalless but Konoplyanka and Hamsik have had good chances. Stop watching England peeps and switch to Bratislava. It's where it's at!

Already done.
The highlight for me was Delph getting injured

3 goals in 4 games now for Kane in an england shirt, could we be looking at the next record breaker after Rooney ?

Sterling has had a nightmare.

I do think we're stronger with a proper out and out striker and Rooney playing off and around him. Lovely finish by Kane that on his left foot.

Is there some kind of record that Rooney just broke there?

I haven't been this impressed by a NT team since Colombia in 2013. I was very, very impressed by Austria.

Wish them luck in the Euro's, will probably be watching them.

Well, another job done if not exactly spectacular. Just so bloody frustrating, but somehow we manage it.

Watched the second half of Sweden V Austria and as you say Austria were very impressive. Can see them getting to the knockout stages of Euro 2016.

Technically it's 202km from where it's at, which is Zilina.

A draw was a great result for Slovakia though. One win from the last two against Belarus or Liechtenstein and they're through. Ukraine have to get something against Spain too even if that happened.

Well done, Austria. It's quite simple:

1) Give David Alaba an important role
2) Prosper

One of the finest players in world football. He reminds me of Patrick Vieira in midfield, but with a better final ball and a better temperament. He's wasted playing in the backfield for Bayern.

The whole team was excellent today. They are the best team I've seen on the counter attack consistently in a long time.

Looks like this is the group that the best third placed qualifier will come from.

England were shocking in the 1st half tonight, much better in the 2nd. Smalling was excellent throughout and seems to be improving rapidly, fair play to the lad. Shaw also looked like the player he was for Southampton and has the potential to be the best left-back in the world one day. Sterling was poor, however, and Oxlade-Chamberlain has to be bitterly dissapointed with his own performance. He flatters to deceive far too much for my liking.

I was checking that last night, more out of pessimism than anything else, and that is a pretty big safety net. After 7 games the top 3 had 18, 18, 15 points, and the bottom three had 4 each. I think all three teams could secure their places in the next round of games.

I was only checking to see what Wales' safety net is like. Need to draw against Andorra to secure qualification.... (If Israel beat Cyprus and Belgium)
