Has anyone in the EFL (except relative new comers to the EFL like Salford or Harrogate) been out the play off picture for as long as we had? 29 seasons since our last appearance!
Harrogate and Hartlepool were in the National League playoffs the year they came up.

Not surprising that the team finishing 7th have had a good amount of success in the playoffs. More often than not they're a team in good form having made the playoffs in the last game of the season and therefore carry a lot of momentum into them. On the other hand, 4th or 5th could have fallen out of the auto picture with a few sloppy results late on.

Great going that. Just waiting to see how our ticket office handle ours when they go on sale. It’s one area especially where we are stuck in the dark ages.

Queues been ridiculous all day, home tickets don’t go on general sale until Wednesday though.

Our tickets went on sale at 1pm today to STH’s and there’s been long queues at Sixfields all afternoon, and they’ve chosen to extend opening hours tomorrow.

Thought there’d be a bit of a lack of enthusiasm but not the case evidently. Got mine.

Had to ditch my season ticket this season so having to wait until they (hopefully) get to general sale for the away leg. Sorted for home game though along with all my day dripper mates. Put the word playoff in front of Mansfield at home and it suddenly becomes more appealing to them.

How many have we been given for the away leg?

1,651. Should shift them, no trains back is a killer but we’ve sorted a minibus so hey ho. Gone from ‘wanting to kill myself’ to ‘better get my ticket’ so the enthusiasm is gradually coming back haha.

Hopefully you shift them, nothing better than a full away end as a home fan IMO. How good is your second keeper? Thought Roberts was world class when you last played us at the Mill

No idea to be honest mate, Roberts has just completely made the number 1 position his own this year. I’ll be seeing him for the first time on Saturday haha.

Swindon fans on social media think because we usually only take 300 there (it’s usually our worst following of the season there) we won’t sell many for a play off semi final… we only usually take a small number Exeter but sold 1300 in an hour it’s not a standard league game

Northampton will sell out the away end this time surely? Noticed only 450 sold today. I hope it’s a sell out and a cracking atmosphere.

You always get those reply guy types on Twitter especially. We’ve always taken decent followings just up the road to Oxford. I think with Swindon especially a few years back they were always one of the more expensive away days though not sure if that’s still the case. That and a trip to the County Ground for a while just meant we’d get 5 or 6 put past us.

Were on sale from 1-5, personal callers only as no one was answering the phones.

Not many of our fans go by train to be honest. There's usually 5 or 6 coaches from one of the pubs in Burslem plus official coaches. Most people will drive with it being at that time.

Historically we've always taken poor followings to Swindon. I think there's a few factors at play. Firstly, in recent years we've been awful, so the numbers only turn out for local games. Secondly, Swindon is a bit of an arse to get to from Stoke as you have to head South West and then go East. Thirdly, it's historically one of the more expensive grounds in the league. Fourthly, we've played Swindon hundreds of times in recent years, it's not a glamour fixture and the away facilities are awful. Finally, we have a dreadful record there.

I think we'll sell out the allocation as it's such a vital game. I think Swindon will bring around 2000 on a Thursday night.

£23 a ticket isn’t too bad. Loads of pubs and parking all within walking distance. What’s not to like?

I seem to recall it being £26/27 at one time. Plus fuel, plus booze and food. There's not much change out of £150 there. Plus the prospect of being tanked by a team that we seem to have played almost as many times as Bradford!

Never been that high a price for a ticket. Fuel is a pisser these days to be sure.

Recall there was a spell in the mid 00s when it was really expensive.

The Crown pub had sold out 4 coaches by yesterday morning (despite no tickets on sale yet) so imagine with the official coaches most will go with that option.

Our away followings have been excellent lately which is good to see along with the bigger home crowds finally this team mixed with decent owners for a change seem to have caught the imagination of the lost fans.

Key is to try and keep them coming long term

Sounds very much like our ticket office! Thankfully new system coming in next season.

Ours never answer the phones! I had to email to get an Exeter ticket and that was by hope rather than expecting.

If we get to Wembley they will only have a few days of sales so assuming we take around 20000 there our ticket office will probably struggle! Especially as we haven’t mastered online sales for away games!

Swindon has definitely been £25 to get in on a few occasions.
There are some cracking boozers in town if you know where to look.
I’m not sure many will taking eye openers at 11 on a Sunday!
I’ve been 6 times and seen us score once,(I was there that day that calderwood scored from the halfway line, my first experience of the county ground)
I won’t be going this time, I’m glad though that sense has prevailed and they’ve give us decent allocation. I’d be surprised if we don’t sell them all

Yeah i’d had my ticket sorted for northampton away before i’d even booked the time off work, realised how i was getting there or where i’d be sleeping that night back in mansfield as clearly couldn’t get back to manchester that late.

As it is work has played 2nd fiddle and got it all sorted thankfully.

I don’t buy any of this momentum stuff this season as it’s hardly like northampton in 4th finished like 20 points infront of us, there’s sod all between us - 3 points between us all.

We’re probably all similar that if you take a player away, mckirdy with swindon, oates with us, the keeper for northampton (can’t be arsed to think of someone from port vale but i’m sure the same applies) we all dip markedly.

It's between Conlon and Gibbons who've both been missing most of the season, hence we only finished 5th

And Proctor for 4 months! Wilson for 2 months! Cass season ended with Conlon in January. Bonkers.
