Pretty sure that “prediction” is just home wins across the board
Yeah, as much as I can sense us being held to a draw at Yeovil, I'd be surprised if pundits were actually predicting that. It's less about it looking like a draw on paper and more just Sod's law that we'll crumble under the pressure... especially if Exeter are losing as this prediction suggests.

Can’t see Carlisle failing to win. Just depends on other results for them.

If I was doing an acca for the playoff battle it’d be;

Newport vs Oldham draw
FGR v Exeter draw
Yeovil vs Carlisle away
Morecambe vs Newport draw
Stevenage vs Cheltenham home
Lincoln vs Colchester home

7th Exeter - 70
8th Carlisle 70
9th Stevenage - 70
10th Newport 69
11th Colchester 67

We'd be ruing not holding on to a 4 goal lead yesterday, or pushing for more.

Here's my prediction

MK Dons to beat Tranmere in the playoff final

These were my final day scores by the way. I also had Newport to beat Oldham 3-1 on Tuesday while Tranmere and Bury draw 2-2

Tranmere the only team who could be promoted automatically or miss out on the playoffs altogether.
This terrifies me and excited me at the same time. Beat Bury and we all get giddy, lose to Bury and we all start sweating profusely. I don't remember an end to a season like this for us in many years.

I think we will win on Saturday now that FGR can’t get the autos, but I fully expect Newport to win both and pip us at the post.

It’s unlikely that Tranmere will lose both for us to nip ahead of them but if Bury get three points tomorrow they may start to get a bit twitchy

To choke and chuck automatics away after choking and chucking the playoffs away last season would be hard to take tbh. We were set fair in February, and should we not make it id like to think the players and manager get a royal bollocking.

I’m hoping the threat of that and what’s available in league 1 next season should be enough incentive.

after our superb run and total dominance of teams since feb we have gate crashed the cosy positions of the top 3 or 4 , our mission to get 2 in a row is nearing its conclusion ! .... swa swa

Whereas your excellent run could lead to you actually finishing above us it’s had no impact on the poor form and performances we’ve been putting in of late. We’ve been frankly shambolic every time we’ve needed a performance

That game was a few minutes away from being massive for us, would have been a case of 2 sides knowing nothing less then a win was good enough going all out for it.

Instead our main priority is now not getting any injuries or suspensions with the first leg in 5 or 6 days.

Yeah, had you really needed the win then I suspect we’d get turned over. I assume Cooper will rest a few key players, which helps us massively. But, I suppose, any fringe players coming in will have the incentive to play really well to keep their place for the play offs so if still won’t be easy.

Yeovil parked the bus against us twice to great effect.
They let the tyres down at ours, in the hope that we couldn't move it. We did in the end, but god it was a horrible affair. Pleased they went down, on that evidence, as Macc and County both showed something in both games with us. I cannot imagine travelling from Yeovil to Lincoln to be served up such a negative shower of shite (Yeovil were poor as well before anyone gets it in!).

If you don’t score early against those teams it’s always a struggle at any level.

In fairness it’s our record against the bottom sides which has cost us
1 point from Yeovil
3 from notts
4 from macc
4 from Cambridge
3 from port vale.

Ours is the middle section of the table.

1 v Newport
3 v Crewe
1 v Oldham
0 v Swindon
1 v northants

Can only put that down to complacency. Because we’ve taken 20 pts from 8 games against the teams 7th to 10th

What's cost us is our inability to hold out on a 1 goal lead, We've led by 1 agaisnt Colchester, Cambridge, Macclesfield, Bury, Northampton, Lincoln, MK Dons and Forest Green this season and drew all of those games.

Colchester, Cambridge and Bury stick out as they were all last minute equalisers too.

The Macclesfield one was infuriating, fair enough it was back in August but they barely had the ability to kick the ball, let alone score

But the other eight draws meant we weren’t in front with scoring last minute equalisers at Lincoln and Cheltenham
