Ah those were the days when we had some random rivalry with Colchester which lasted about a year...very odd.

Anyhow, on to tomorrow, with 2 teams in great form. Can we make it 9 games unbeaten and even more amazingly, three home wins in a row?

I hope we're unchanged from the Grimsby game and go into the game on the front foot. Colchester will be a tough nut to crack as they're in great form and they seem to score quite a few, so I am expecting goals.

Will go for a 2-2 draw. Reid double for us and Guthrie double for Colchester.

Apart from Carlisle the other week, I'd still say Exeter are the next best team I've seen us play all season. Really tough trip and would happily take a point if offered now.

Yes I can remember the game at layer road in the 90's when our fans invaded the pitch ran over to your fans and stole the flag/banner. Then ripped it up and burnt it back in the bar side terrace. I think it was revenge for issue down at your place. Would not happen now though. Back to the game, I will say that it's time for our good run to end today. 3-1 exeter.

Disappointing, but it was always going to be a tough game and the run couldn't last forever. A week off next week now before we can hopefully start a new run.

Tin hat on: well done Grecians, good to see you doing well. I did say a while back I thought you get towards the play-offs. Setting up a potentially cracking game on the 11th.

Wow another three points, three more goals and another clean sheet. I can't believe it's the same team who could barely pass to one another back in early season.

To be fair 3-0 flatters us slightly as Colchester looked decent and had us penned in our box for the first 20 mins of the second half and they could easily have equalised. That being said we defended very well and Pym only really had one save to make which was a direct free kick in the first half.

We looked very good on the break and took our chances extremely well with Watkins setting up all three with some excellent awareness. Wheeler had a great battle with Elokobi all game and he's one big unit!

Overall I am delighted and it's a real statement to beat an in form team like Colchester who I expect to be in the top 7 come May as they move the ball nicely and are very quick and athletic.

Bring on Pompey!

Exeter you are such an odd team.

What has changed?! :conf::bl::doh::dk::bravo::bravo::bravo::bravo:
A settled team and a real surge in confidence from our key players. Reuben looks good and makes such a difference to the other forward players.

It will be a big game on 11/02 at Home Park. Gutted I can't make it.

Sounds pretty much how it's been reflected on from the local radio - Exeter probably deserved to win but it was more of a close 1-0 than a 3-0 game. We didn't really create any chances when we had spells of possession and territorial advantage and got hit with two late goals when we were trying to increase the pressure.

As long as we bounce back then it's no problem and Exeter were excellent at our place.
