We finished 10th last season with 67 points.

Can we match that this season? I doubt it.

Anyway I'm past caring about this season now. If we don't win another game or pick up any more points it really doesn't matter. We're in no danger of relegation so just start planning for next season, maybe give a few of the youth team lads some game time ahead of next season.

As I said in another thread i think we have all the makings of a side that will be relegated next season unless big changes are made over the summer. Sadly not many of the current crop of shite are out of contract so we'll be stuck with them.

Up to late in the games yesterday I was still clinging to the faintest of faint hopes of a bizarre late play off charge as at the time we were 4 behind Blackpool with us still to play them and also 4 behind Exeter before late goals for Exeter Blackpool and Accrington means we're now completely stuck in no mans land so Grimsby Town officially checking into this thread.

Heh we have been in this thread since Hurst left and Bignot came in and ripped the squad up to sign his players ready for next season! Not that I'm complaining as mid table is fine for our first season back, and planning ahead could be good for next season just wonder what could have been given how shite the league is.

At the dizzy heights of fifth bottom, it's time to join this thread. Thirteen points off the play offs, thirteen from relegation, sounds mid table to me.
As unhappy as Carlisle fans are to be here, Notts fans are delighted. Looking forwards to next season with a manager who seems able to spot a player and resurrect like Lazarus players who seemed totally unfit for League football less than eight weeks ago.
A few games left to try different things and play some Youth players and for the first time in years properly plan for next season with an ambitious chairman, manager doing a fantastic job and a competitive budget rather than scrabbling about n the close season for cast offs and crocks.

We can't score a goal and we can't defend. What part of that gives you any confidence that we can get back in the top 7? There is no chance of an upturn in form from this shower of shite.

Shoddy and cufc17 see us on a weekly basis and both realistically know that we are heading for a mid table finish.

Creating a mid-table thread for us is premature and there are only seven games left so it's not like we'd be here for long and mid-table threads are pointless anyway because fans of teams who have nothing to play for are not going to have anything interesting to discuss or get excited about for the season.

You say this but hellogregory has been saying for months that Carlisle are actually crap and are gonna not even make the play offs whilst you were saying to keep the faith you will be ok etc, but he has been proved to be talking absolute sense which suggests that he does go to games and could foresee the dramatic fall that was/is about to happen whilst you on the other hand........?
