It's a shame it's not his arm which is broken.
So much hostility for the Fed!?! I have to admit I would like to see him knocked out before a potential meeting with Murray if he gets that far.

Joking aside i don't mind federer, but like you say, i'd like to see him get knocked out before a possible meeting with Murray.

After a long match and winning in 5 sets in his previous match, it's good to see that Murray made light work of Bellucci, winning in straight sets in just over 2 hours. Next up is the big serving Kevin Anderson. Tough match For Murray, but i expect him to win, although i can see Anderson taking a set off him.

1st Krazy8 1046(5 men, 5 ladies)
2nd Stantheman 980(4 men, 3 ladies)
3rd Baker's Ballers 914(4 men, 4 ladies)
4th Wilson's wonders 842(4 men, 4 ladies)
5th Mark F's US stars 815 (3 men, 4 ladies)

I think Krazy has this won.

My top 4 picks in each group have done well but the rest did shocking which is what has cost me.

Krazy is 21st in the entire game!

I don't think I can catch him based on what he has left in the women's.

Let's hope that Murray and Konta can both win their games later on today. I'll be cheering them on later that is for sure.

Anderson turned into a very dangerous player over past few years. He's a servebot but with some good groundstrokes and a decent volley too. Mentally, he's been weak at closing out big matches though so I still expect Murray to win here, even if 5 sets are required.

Now a break down in the second set. Not going to plan at all.

edit - double break down. the way Anderson is serving - , hard to see a way back for Murray in this match.

edit 2 - and now a break down in the third...

You'd think so. This is usually when the "lesser" players crumble/top players step it up a notch.

Not to be this time. Oh well he can have a break and come back refreshed for the Davis Cup semi now at least.

Just didn't seem to have the energy to cope with the big serve and power from Anderson.

Disappointing but maybe the couple of fairly long matches caught up with Murray a bit.

Not good enough from Murray, and that last breaker was embarrassing for a top player. Top players shouldn't be doing this and with all respect to Anderson who played out of his skin, Murray should not lose to this calibre of player in a Slam. 99% of the time it takes one of the top guys to knock Murray out of a Slam and he just wasn't on it today. Anderson has owned Wawrinka recently so can't rule out him beating him too, Wawrinka cannot return the Anderson serve to save his life.

Murray's biggest mistake was to play Cincinatti after winning Montreal the week before. He's had a particularly long year, especially with the Davis Cup included. I half expected him to lose to Wawrinka in the quarters but wasn't expecting this. Mind you Anderson is one of the most improved players on the tour by an absolute mile. His grounstrokes are a different category to what they used to be.

Jamie Murray into another semi final in the doubles beating the number 4 seeds.

Could face an all American side in the semis but not the Bryan brother

Cilic and Tsonga in a real battle which the defending champion won.

Epic match that. Cilic finally seeing off an amazing Tsonga fightback, came through like a champ there. Tsonga's missus is absolutely incredible, so I can't feel too gutted for the guy.

If he can channel peak, unplayable Cilic like when he blasted Federer off the court in straight sets then he can trouble Djokovic, though he doesn't quite look at that level this time around and is carrying an ankle knock.

So who will win the battle of the Swiss and will either of the Italians upset the top 2 seeds in the ladies?

Rooting for Stan the man. Haven't seen him nor Federer play this tournament though so dunno what form both are in.

I expect a Stan-Djokovic final. And if I'm right, a repeat of the French Open outcome would be nice, please.

Don't like to back against Federer and I'd love nothing more than to see him win another grand slam but even if he got past Wawrinka, I just can't see him ever beating Djokovic in a best of five again.

Agreed but Fed is in awesome form so I can't write him off as he is timeless, he hasn't lost a set in at least his last 10 matches to my knowledge. However, for the final it will definitely be better if Wawrinka gets there. I still think Djokovic will come through Cilic but he would rather face Federer than Wawrinka. Potentially 2 epic semi finals coming up.

Djokovic hasn't been in amazing form so far by all accounts so I can see Cilic causing him problems if he is on it and he is of course the defending champion. Could see that one going to four or five sets.

I hope Stan can make it to the final also. Out if the rest of them I'd like him to win it.
