If Liverpool and ourselves both make it to the the FA Cup final then they're in the Europa League whether they win it or not, aren't they?

Good point, they should probably throw the game against Blackburn just to make sure then.

I want City to finish 4th so they can get knocked out of the CL play-offs. Then I will laugh and laugh and laugh.

Haha.

With Southampton getting goals scored again and a run-in against struggling sides (Sunderland, Leicester, Villa), the last day trip to Man City could be a decider of who finishes 4th. Liverpool would be right back in it as well if they beat Newcastle tomorrow and City lose today.

Having City finishing outside the top 4 would be hilarious.

We were shite yesterday, no chance of us getting back into the hunt for a top four spot.

Yeah, i think it's too late for us too. I doubt City will fuck this up, we'll probably finish 5th, which is fair i suppose.

Is it just me or are things looking bleak for City on the long run? I know they have the money, but they'll most likely have a new manager next year and they need to replace their spine. Kompany, Toure, Silva, Nasri, Aguero, Dzeko all played their part brilliantly in their recent success but bar Aguero, and even he's unreliable due to injuries, i think the rest need replacing/a serious kick up the arse. Well, maybe not Silva.

From what i know they're also quite restricted by FFP these days, so they might need to sell some of the bigger names in order to get new players, and i see plenty of teams being turned off by their potential price/wage demands.

Whoever City appoint next needs to get this absolutely right. Funnily enough Mourinho would have been perfect for this transition.

nope it's not just you. Things are looking a bit bleak. All the current squad bar Hart, Aguero & Silva need analysing & seeing whether they have a future at the club. That includes the manager as well.

Pellegrini is the first that needs to go, it shows that none of the players fight for him, coupled with shit tactics I'm surprised he's lasted to lunchtime today.

If they drop out of the top 4 they don't have to comply by FFP do they?

This was said about Mancini too though, Whitechapel?
When does the blame get put at the players door?

As for City, they'll walk in the top four, still they think they may do top three but as for the next few years, they've got a lot to be worried about.

They'd be in the Europa, so yes they will because it's still UEFA competition. Even if they weren't, their books would still be looked at for the next time they were in UEFA competiton so they wouldn't be able to get away with too much.

Ah right. Was going to suggest getting away from FFP would probably benefit them long term.

Pretty poor do sacking two title winning managers the season after they won the league.

Also going out early might lead to extra pressure - if they don't start well in the league either.

Least if they get to the knockout stages like you and Everton did then its a run of sorts.

City Fixture List: West Ham (H), Villa (H), Spurs(A), QPR(H), Swansea(A), Southampton(H)
Liverpool Fixture List: West Brom(A), Hull(A), QPR(H), Chelsea(A), Palace(H), Stoke(A)

City definitely have the easier fixtures left.

[="Dave, post: 101481, member: 427"]Probably sometime in June against some Serbian bus drivers.[/QUOTE]

That'd be a hard team to break down.

I can see City winning this weekend whilst Liverpool draw or lose at WBA. I don't think Pulis has ever lost a game against Liverpool.
