Should be interesting: will Luton actually bring more than 300 and who will score the winning goals for The TOWN now Mr Bogle has gone to Wigan? Answers here before 15:00 on Saturday please.

Grimsby away on a Saturday!!! What is the world coming too. Seems like its always that trip up North on a cold wet windy Winters night. After a shocking day or two in the market and on the field 300 would be pretty damn good :gr:

I think we are going to have some fairly major defensive issues on the horizon judging by last nights performance. The keepers confidence must be on the floor and I'm not really sure of the best way to handle it. He didn't look up to the standard but if you drop him you might destroy his confidence forever such are the vagaries of that position. Personally I'd give the Arsenal lad a go but another new keeper coming in might unsettle the defence still further.

Unless I'm mistaken I think Hylton is back so that's a plus, I'd give him and Vassell a go up front, don't see how you can drop Vassell on the back of 2 goals in his last 2 starts and Marriott is just not doing it for me at the moment, even in the first half last night where we had some good chances Marriott was not really massively involved and his touch shocking.

Be very scared Luton, our home form is incredible Blundell Park is an absolute fortress.
We have already played the current bottom 7 at home and we have only lost to 4 of them.... :eyes:
Home banker written all over this one. :bg1:

We have so many options in midfield that we could play ten of them and a keeper on Saturday. Be interesting to see which ones actually start, how many and in what formation. I personally have no idea who and what our manager will go with: I suspect he hasn't either.

I reckon it will almost be the same team, Jones for Clements and Asante for Bogle.

Could be a good time to play Grimsby being the first game after losing one of the best players in the league. Hopefully Luton can take advantage of any disruption while Grimsby adjust to the new players.

Only just noticed that Grimsby have signed 2 players from the Solihull team that we beat 6-2 in the cup
a few months back including the goal scorer Osborne who looked useful in the first half although faded quite badly.

Don't recall the forward doing much, but no doubt will have a point to prove.

Yeah fair play to McKeown, sounds a pretty shit penalty straight down the middle but did his job after a weird old week for him.

Fed up with us now though. What a wasted opportunity of a week for us. If we'd won on Tuesday a point here would have been decent, but as it is it's not good enough really. Never win the games we need to.

Sounded like we played well and deserved the lead, then a mistake by Davis to allow Luton to score and was all Luton for the last 10 mins. Glad for Mckeown though, would have been tough to lose after the first 75 mins by sounds of it

Thought we played well, you could tell we lack chemistry but in the second half we had some encouraging signs of progress. The front two were good which was nice to see after losing Omar. Jamey Osborne though is just quality.

Luton were average in my opinion and didn't have a sniff until Davies slipped, we never recovered after that. They're on the lower end of teams I've seen this year in terms of quality.

Delighted for Macca as he's received a fair bit of stick recently. Hopefully we can put everything behind us and get back to normal.

I thought Luton were OK for the first 70, we were good. After the goal, all Luton and a draw was fair. Well done to Mckeown too. Not sure why the goal was disallowed either!

That's such an awful penalty, nowhere near the corner.

Not a great penalty from Hylton. Bet he would have scored with the face mask!

Can see why the ref gave the free kick to Grimsby, although the actual foul is blocked by the post a little there, but does look a little weak to me.

So bad for a professional footballer, looks so nervous from someone who granted has just missed a couple of games but should be brimming with confidence. Typical Luton. No bottle.

Seeing the highlights, looks like a foul on Davies before Luton's goal and I think the penalty is harsh, the ball comes off Gunning's foot and ricochets up into his arm but considering the arm is in the air I think most refs would give that. Can't see what the foul is given for just after the penalty either, push on Collins? Looked soft.

Draw fair in the grand scheme of things but happy with how we played.

Have to say I really disagree that it was a foul on your player by Ruddock, he just falls over! Not entirely sure what the defender was thinking.

Penalty was a bit harsh though, he does sort of make a movement toward the ball with his hand but he cant exactly make his arm disappear. Pretty sure the goal after the miss wasn't given because the ref thought it might have messed up the decision in the first place as its really nothing in the challenge by either Hylton or Palmer and the defender goes down in stages a bit.

You could argue its more of a foul on Hylton if you were particularly one eyed but on balance probably justice done in the end.

No way is Davies fouled for the first goal.

Penalty was very harsh but they are sometimes given. Still no idea for the follow up!

Goes down easily granted but he's kicked him in the foot. It's not a blatant slip like I first thought. He should've cleared it though so no complaints regardless.

The Luton player handled the ball into the net.

Nope, the angle from the Luton end shows it wasn't a hand either. It was definitely for Palmers push, debateable if it was one but you can see why he gave it and especially if he had second thoughts about the penalty in the first place.
