Finished Uncharted 4 lastnight. Took me 14 and a half hours.
Overall pretty impressive. Kinda wish there were more puzzles but a fitting end to a truly remarkable series.

Up there for GOTY

Spent about 3 hours on Uncharted so far. Loving it and some of the scenery is fantastic. Probably not going to get a chance to play it again until Friday though.

I had to type about this moment in Uncharted 4 in chapter 4, yes that one!

So I can play Crash Bandicoot as Nathan Drake on a PS1 inside Uncharted. That is cool as fuck. Naughty Dog, I bloody love you!

I KNOW RIGHT.

I've still not really got too far despite getting it early... but that was the one part I played before the game was released that I was desperate to nerd out about with other people... but I really didn't want to ruin it for anyone.

As an indication of how far I've not gotten so far, I've just got to (to keep it vague) Africa.

Working my way through walking dead season 1. Just on episode 5 now but struggling to really get I to it as the GoT one

Downloaded tropico 5 for free and just done the first few stories on that. Its fun enough

Witcher 3 I have had for a while but only seem to dip in to it every so often. I have just finished a mission with a witch that I met so still early doors. I find the combat tricky

Just started chapter 13. It's a masterpiece, blown away by the quality of it.

I did that part that they showed at E3 or whatever last year in the car heading downhill through that village and stuff. Holy shit, that whole sequence. Would have been much better if I hadn't already seen it about 50 times before through watching the videos, but still fun none the less!

That was the chapter I last played. Absolutely amazing.

The appeal of the other Uncharted games was that although they weren't "great" games, they were incredibly fun to play. Does that remain here?

Pretty much stuck with Ultimate Team, I always try to distract myself with other games but it keeps pulling me back in, much like being in the American mob I'd imagine

I wouldn't say that being over the top, daft and not taking itself seriously and being a great game have to be a case of being one or the other... Uncharted is both. Its appeal is in how over the top a lot of the stuff in it is, but it's still pretty much one of the best experiences you can have with a controller in your hand. As far as great games go, Uncharted are at the absolute top elite level as far as I'm concerned.

I know what you mean. Yeah it's still daft but it's visually gorgeous and even more captivating than the previous 3

What Oaf said, it's the overall experience. The gunplay isn't flawless, I think many games do it better, same with the combat. I think this game has vastly improved gameplay though as the platforming is superb (even the driving feels really good and combat a bit more fluid). The story, pacing and attention to detail is second to none though - Uncharted and The Last of Us have created such a massive gap between themselves and other games in these aspects that you feel like you're playing something special and unique even if all it is, is just a very polished action movie.

I'm on Chapter 20 and I assume have less than an hour to go total. It's the best Uncharted for me comfortably unless the ending is a massive fuck up (swear to God if summat happens to Elena I'm snapping the disc in half and never playing a video game ever again). Uncharted 2 was special but it just went too silly towards the end with a terrible boss fight and Uncharted 3 was great but dragged a little in places I felt and lost it's way a little in the 3rd act.

I'm not someone that gets remotely romantic about games but Uncharted is just different. I think it'll be the one and possibly only series I get nostalgic about for the rest of my life.

I think my only criticism so far, and it really is the only criticism, is that too much of the game has taken place on these islands, I'm starting to get a little bored of the setting and think the game could have got there a few chapters later.

Do it! Just raid the fuck out of Kaer Mohren for alchemy and crafting ingredients first. Also craft some mastercrafted witcher gear and superior potions too, just to help with the adjustment period on Death March. I did all this and a wolf still one shotted me off of Roach in White Orchard...
Haha yeah I heard its tough as a witches tit (pun intended). I have all my mastercrafted stuff and am running through the first DLC now getting the Ofiri (or something) armour and swords and then I'll run through the new DLC at the end of the month. I really want to restart again on it though; I saw a vid of a guy trying on the Griffin at White Orchard, and he was getting nowhere! :D Apparently the level cap is being raised to 100 and you get four new slots for your character as well which will help.

I want to try a different build though, using alchemy just now, but would like to try a signs build, but will need to read up on that a bit I think.

Uncharted 2 was a real hoot; a bit disappointed by 3 personally. I'll get 4 eventually though when it goes half price on Playstation Store. :D

A bit behind on the Uncharted party, started the first one a few months ago then got stuck and then went back to the 360 and forgot about it. Went back to it 2 days ago and blitzed right through to the end. I like it, good storyline and feels like Tomb Raider with a bit more emphasis on the combat rather than the puzzles. Helps in that sense that Elena is probably the only AI Ive come across in gaming who isnt totally useless!

Might as well keep it up with the PS3 while Ive got it hooked up again, going back to the Last of Us and will probably pick up Uncharted 2 tomorrow.

Good decision to stick with Uncharted. But be aware... yes, Uncharted is superb, but Uncharted 2 absolutely steps it up to the next level. You ain't seen nothin' yet

boomerang annoy the hell out of me, I always sent my rentals back in the hope of getting the newest one next, i'm on unlimited priority and I've always missed out. I've now changed to non-priority because I don't think it makes any difference what so ever
