Wondering how long Samoa Joe will spend in NXT. Can't be too long, surely?

Just finished watching WCW New Blood Rising (2000) - it's no wonder it went out of business, one of the worst PPV's I've ever seen, even the main event scene was done here. Russo style. 12 matches on 1 card. What on earth was Vampiro and the Demon? Muta? Using Sting in a 52 second squash match vs The Demon? Awful, awful, awful. A 6 man ladder match was a decent spotfest as an opener, but man, that was dire. Jarrett vs Booker T was decent and Goldberg vs Nash vs Steiner was reasonable, apart from the entire Goldberg not taking the jacknife thing. If that's not the real worst of WCW then I really want to see the worst, just for the humour. Buff Bagwell's mom on a pole (or a forklift) match, was definetely my favourite.

I wanted to watch WCW at it's best, but the stuff from 96-99 is just so out dated it's barely watchable, in terms of virtually everything. A modern day WCW would have been much better IMO.

wcw in 2000 is horrific.
(hogan's fingerpoke of doom to nash)
(jarrett laying down for hogan as a shoot)
(the aftermath of arquette as champion)

whereas wwe in 2000 was probably IMO it's greatest year.

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
They had a good idea in 2000 but it failed, I quite liked their New Blood Vs Millionairres club idea it was a good way to actually use the big rifts WCW genuinely had to of course build new stars.....use the hatred of the names hogging the limelight as an actual storyline.

of course where it fails is they frankly never knew what to do with it and I guess the politics played its part in struggling to know how to work it. Infact WWE had that same problem with the invasion, ideal storyline but whereas WCW was f*cked trying to get their names to job in order to make the new guys look good, WWE had its same problem getting WWE guys to job in order to make WCW guys look good......so I think its just could never have worked without removing one lot completely.

I felt abit sorry for DDP/Booker T/Jarrett.......they actually run some pretty good Main Events but its surrounded by so much crap.

I do actually enjoy slamborree 2000 which is when David Arquette is champion, but its a great ME......but WCW really ruined it when they ditched all rules on weapons, suddenly people are whacking others with 10 chair shots, hitting each other with lead pipes and treating them like regular shots.

but I find other periods as bad, WCW in 1999 is bad as its just so boring, as was WWF in 1995 and I think WWE in 2006 time was boring also.

but haha saddler watch all of WCW in 2000, its ridiculously crap which can make it funny. oh and saddler you've got a modern day WCW....its WWE right now, read back every single article about what WCW did right and wrong in 1996-1999 and you'll find its WWE in the last few years.

problem is its what everyone says so why cannot WWE see it???

surely.......surely they have enough ex WCW people about that company now to be saying to people 'hey this reminds me of what we did wrong'? or like WCW are they uninterested in making mistakes as long as they make money (WCW were blinded in 1998 to their errors)

for every WCW Hogan stealing main events in 2000, we have WWE Cena doing the same in 2015
for every WCW Jericho who is awesome but held down in the mid-card, we have WWE Ziggler in 2015
for every WCW Mark Madden stinking commentary, we have WWE Cole & Lawler in 2015
for every WCW Scott Hall turning up when he wants, we have WWE Lesnar in 2015 turning up whenever he wants

I've thought this for a couple of years now. Vince loves to tell us all on the Network about how WCW went out of business and what mistakes it made, whilst actually making the same mistakes himself.

AAA Wrestler El Higo Del Perro Aguayo has passed away, during a match with Rey Mysterio, Tigre Uno and Manik.
RIP.

Apparently he hit the setup for the 619 wrong and knocked himself unconscious. I haven't watched the vid yet though

One day it will happen in WWE. It's a testament to how well trained they are that it hasn't really happened already. You look at dives like during the Undertaker/Michaels match and the Lita gif above and something will go wrong one day, out the blue.

Christ that sounds morbid doesn't it. Boobs.

Yep, I think back to like HHH getting his throat crushed by RVD in the Chamber and Joey Mercury getting his face crushed by the ladder spot in the TLC, Lesnar landing on his head with the shooting star. It seems to be one of those things where the most innocuous incidents are the ones that get you though.

Relating to these sorts of incidents, I've been watching a fair bit of WM today, and the standout moments that people seem to have gotten very lucky with are that Lesnar shooting star press and where HBK tried a springboard moonsault and landed on the announce table which broke HORRIBLY against Flair at WM24. Probably the two most painful looking moments I've seen in a WWE ring.

The biggest one for me is Foley. Not only did the Cell break when it wasn't supposed to, he has the misfortune of bringing a chair crashing through with him. I still can't believe he managed to walk away from the fall.

It says a lot that WWE rarely features the second unplanned fall.

The Undertaker leap at Mania 25 against HBK was horrific. I legitimately thought he was seriously injured by that.

A lot of idiotic people on social media calling Mysterio a murderer. Absolute tools. Mysterio could have done nothing about it. I don't know if he'll ever be the same wrestler again.

Stupid things still happen, have any of you watched the idiotic things Jeff Hardy has done in TNA the last 6 months.

A swanton Bomb onto Metal Stairs and then when it seems bad enough a backwards fall off a cage onto stairs.

he's mad, totally totally mad.

WM30 on the network atm.

Just watched The Streak end again. Still the most unbelievable moment in wrestling I've ever seen. Actually glad it happened now because the reaction is just priceless.

What i liked about the streak ending was, how lesnars music wasn't played for ages, giving a sense of, what? was that meant to happen? Excellent.

Reading an article on what culture about wwe in 2003. Apparently mark jindrack was originally meant to be in evolution and even filmed promos with the group but got booted for being too immature. Jindrack was nearly the viper

What an idiot Jindrack is then, that would have practically made him. Being on HHH's team ends up with you going places. Look at what Batista and Orton did after that. Both won titles, both main evented, both were made massive stars, Batista is now a film star rolling the mega bucks in after he put his wrestling aside. Where is Jindrack now? Doing nothing. Got to be a huge regret, surely? Look at Rollins now...another person HHH is high on..the least 'out going' member of the Shield a year ago..cashing MITB in on the Mania main event a year later...
