Shaw Lane Association has been removed from the Buildbase FA Trophy following a breach of competition rules.

At a meeting of an FA Trophy Sub-Committee today, a charge of a breach of FA Trophy rules relating to player eligibility was was found proven and as such Shaw Lane Association's place in the First Round Proper has been awarded to Nantwich Town, their opponents in the Third Round Qualifying.

The members of the Sub-Committee also decided that Nantwich Town will now play at home to Lincoln City in the First Round Proper on Tuesday 13 December 2016 subject to an appeal being lodged by Shaw Lane Association which must be received by The FA by no later than 10.00am on Monday 12 December 2016.

With the proposed date for the fixture being at such short notice, both ourselves and Nantwich Town are in discussions with The FA to see if this could be put back.

local police have warned everyone to behave themselves, with the threat of introducing a bubble if things get propa nawty

pass it on

The only way that it will turn nawtry is if your brain dead pack of savages make it so. As for the possibility of any further games being made bubble games that isn't going to happen. The Merseyside police have to agree to it and as they are a properly organised police force unlike the Keystone Cop type constabulary of North Wales, and Cheshire for that matter, that is highly unlikely.

Given the last three times we've played lower league opposition in a cup competition we've lost, not sure what to think. Would hope we have enough to turn them over, but we have a few injuries, and the last thing we need is a replay on Monday night. Think we'll squeak it though, 1-0 Shots.

We beat Sutton in the FA Cup last season when they were conference south. But I take your point that we seem to struggle against lower league opposition, think Gavin Dennison said on twitter that we have lost 4/8 since we got relegated. Plus our away form is pretty poor (I think we're still the only team to lose at Braintree in the league?).

Feel like it is a must win for us tomorrow, if we lose our season's over and considering that we have 2 Chelsea youth games in 3 days next week we could probably do without a home replay on Monday

Think tomorrow's game is the first time we have played East Thurrock since we were both in Ryman division 3, so its definitely a new ground for me!

Home to Worthing today big decision for the manager do we risk the players who are fit or just jog this match on and treat it like the county cup? Dread to think what our attendance will be for this one. I bet we draw and have to go for a replay.

1-0 win and no injuries please Santa.

A coach of 45 has just been turned away for no reason, Welsh police on top form as usual.

If they were all dressed in white then perhaps they thought the Wrexham fans would mistake them for sheep - and feared for their safety ;)

Gonna be a low attendance for us. Fans not caring about the trophy plus it's raining. Probably be sub 1000. But we've put out a near full strength side so we should win.

Well our intent is clear - full strength XI (unchanged for the millionth week in a row), and 2-0 up against Harrogate.

Fill your boots.

EDIT: 1-0 up at Wrexham, with a near full-strength side. Maybe we are taking it seriously!

Wrexham 0-1 Tranmere at HT. How long should I keep pretending I'm not bothered? Sometimes I think I even lie to myself...

135 minutes played across 2 games against Boring Wood and they still can't score against us, 0-0. Considering that only NFU have drawn a blank against us other than them, they really need to score in the second half if they don't want to be the embarrassment of the league

Going to Wembley shouldn't be sniffed at so it's worth going for the Trophy, as Mellon clearly is. Have Tranmere ever played at the new one?

Nope. We were one of the last teams to play in the old one, but haven't ever got to the new one. I quite fancy a visit!

In other news, £astleigh are 2-0 down at Harlow. Most other games going roughly to plan, if you exclude Barrow's mini collapse.

We've never played at Wembley!

Typically, when we got to the PO Finals, they were in Cardiff.

Which is a million times better than the soulless hole that is Wembley.

I have a question, why do Dover and Dartford hate each other so much? They mentioned it on Stones live just now and it makes no sense, you're on opposite side of the county, we're closer to both of you, and with the history of our old club's demise I'd have expected Dartford to hate us a lot more.

Good the first time against Bournemouth, but Southend only took 6k or so for our second final. They were there a couple of weeks before in the JPT Final.

I'd rather the game was at a smaller, more compact ground like Deepdale, the County Ground, or the New Den. It would make for a much better atmosphere.
