South West Trains. Everything about them. Fucking useless. Don't even know where to begin with this shower of crap. I would rather the next franchise is given to a JV of Sarah Palin, Mao Tse Tung, Enron and Martin McGuiness.

There are apparently FIVE!!! operators who manage to be even more DISMAL. And tbf, having used their services a fair bit, I think I would also adjudge Southern to be even more USELESS. That said, I do reserve a special DISDAIN for SWT. Not only am I far more familiar with them than any other national rail operator, but they're also operated by the Stagecoach group, founded by the ODIOUS Brian Souter. I wouldn't usually advocate fare evasion but I make an exception for them (which I'm sure has really stung the BILLIONAIRE WANKER ).

Southern is truly appalling. I have used them 11 times in the last 15 months and not a single train has arrived within ten minutes of its scheduled time. On three occasions I was more than 90 minutes late arriving. We were planning to move to Chichester but decided against it simply because the trains are so bad. A friend is planning to move house from Arundel to Petersfield simply because the Southern trains are so dire.

Yes, the odious Souter/Gloag combo is truly detestable.

Haha, my parents actually moved to Arundel at the start of the year. It's the most aggravatingly difficult place to get to (at least from this part of Surrey). And yes, they're always late - haven't even used them all THAT MUCH and I'm pretty sure I've been RANDOMLY EJECTED onto the platform of some silly Sussex hamlet at least a couple of times because of an "obstruction on the line" (i.e. another one of their RUBBISH TRAINS breaking down).

No surprise to see Thameslink & Great Northern/First Capital Connect at the bottom. Sometimes i used their service from Haydons Road in Wimbledon when i lived there. Lost count of the number of times one of their trains would go straight through the station when it was supposed to stop. Reason for this was because the train was so late there was no point stopping at the station and it needed to make up time for the return journey. Thankfully i ended up moving to Southfields and got free tube/bus travel in London.
