It's more the mention of The Big Bang Theory in any tone other than scathingly criticial or offensive that disgusted me. I'd rather spend thirty minutes watching a programme on the diversity of sphincters.

ITV, Channel 4 or Channel 5 have probably made that by now.
While I was disappointed with season 8 as it showed that things have not moved forward and a lot of episodes were about filling, it is still a good show where the actors are very decent. 8 years down the line it's getting on a bit though.

Agreed. Also a fan of the mint and tea tree (tingly bean bag is great fun) and chilli and black pepper ones.
I'm a fan of the mint and tea tree one as well, was gutted when they stopped making the shampoo.

Just the like the weather forecasts on English TV channels they have purposefully distorted the size of Scotland to make it appear insignificant. /MacZidane

Today, I shared the back seat of a Hyundai Trajet during a blablacar journey from up high in the Pyranees to Barcelona, with a three-time (2004, 2008, 2012) OLYMPIC athlete.

This is a man who shared the swimming pool with Ian 'Thorpedo' Thorpe and rubbed shoulders in Beijing and London with Michael Phelps. A man who not only represented his nation in Athens in 2004, but was their flag bearer.

Lady and Gentlemen of OFF, I give you...

That's quite spectacular Ian.

A friend of mine met Andy Selva's aunt and uncle whilst in San Marino. I saw the pictures on facebook, so I know it to be true.

I'm only basking in the reflected glory of a friend sharing some time with family members of a microstate sports star, you're living it.

Incredible.

Living near a family of urban foxes. Sometimes they wake me up in the early hours when they're fighting each other. I love watching them. A few nights ago I was just opening my door to go in and one of them suddenly appeared about 20 yards from me . We both just froze for about a minute curiously regarding each other then it just trotted off to do its own shit.

Where I used to live we had a lot of foxes around, and, while they could occasionally be quite enjoyable to contemplate, the shrieks they make mean they would never appear in my 'Things We Like' list.

In 2002 there was a spate of sexual attacks around Surrey / the South-East, and the police received so many 'false alarm' calls from the public due to hearing the rape-sounding cries of the foxes in a section of alleys near our school that our head teacher had to (chose to?) mention it in assembly to try to allay the fears of students.

Foxes are great. Very interesting animals. We get them as visitors in our street every other night and particularly on a Monday night just before the bins are emptied. My cat usually has a word with them too.
