58. University Challenge
Points: 43 | Lists: 4 | Number One's: 0 | 2013 Position: 164th | 2011 Position: 91st
Seasons: 44 | Episodes: 1,655

When I started university, my only goal was to appear on University Challenge. I never achieved it, but I still watch it religiously. The simple format and challenging questions make it the best quiz show on TV.

The long-running quiz show for the upper-middle class students of the day tests the old grey matter but it's essential Monday night viewing in my house.

University Challenge is a British quiz show that was first broadcast in 1962. The show began life on ITV under the host Bamber Gascoyne, before it was axed in 1987. The BBC revived the show in 1994 and introduced Jeremy Paxman as the host, a role he has held to this day.

The current holders are Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge, who won the 44th series in 2015.

Finding clips that aren't full episodes is quite difficult for this show, so here's two questions answered RIDICULOUSLY quickly!

57. Scrubs *
Points: 43 | Lists: 4 | Number One's: 1 | 2013 Position: 13th | 2011 Position: 16th
Seasons: 9 | Episodes: 182

It's the best hospital comedy featuring daydreams and creepy, stuffed, stupid yellow dead dogs.

Here's another show to suffer a big drop down the list, having sat in the top 20 in both previous lists. Scrubs is an American medical comedy series that aired from 2001 to 2010. The series follows the lives of employees at the fictional Sacred Heart teaching hospital.

The series is fast paced, with slapstick and surreal scenes presented mostly as the daydreams of the central character, Dr John "JD" Dorian, who is played by Zach Braff (whatever happened to him?). Actors starring alongside Braff in all but the final seasons included Sarah Chalke, Donald Faison, Neil Flyn, Ken Jenkins, John C McGinley, and Judy Reyes.

In its ninth and final season, the shows setting move to a medical school, and new cast members were introduced. Of the original cast, only Braff, Faison, and McGinley remained regular cast members, while the others, with the exception of Reyes made guest appearances.

55. Dale's Supermarket Sweep
Points: 45 | Lists: 3 | Number One's: 0 | 2013 Position: N/A | 2011 Position: N/A
Seasons: 8 | Episodes: 589

Dale's Supermarket Sweep was a UK gameshow based on the American Supermarket Sweep format. The show was presented by Dale Winton from 1993 to 2001, and once again for a short lived 2007 revival.

The game consisted of three teams of two, each with a clock that starts with 60 seconds on it. the teams then attempt to add as much time to their clock as they can by answering questions posed by host Dale Winton. The time they accumulate determines how long they have in the 'Big Sweep' round to run around a studio mock-up of a supermarket, collecting shopping items. The team with the shopping trolley filled with items of the most value wins the chance to enter the final 'Super Sweep' prize round.

Love Blackadder although it didn't make my list :(

Supermarket Sweep was also great, what I'd give to go on that show.

Good to see University Challenge and Only Connect both achieve respectable placings on the list; even better to have them back on our screens this week.

Why did they bother putting tins of peas and crap like that in their trolley and not just go down the booze aisle. I presume there was a rule but I'm not sure it was ever made explicit.

Didn't they get little bonuses from different things? Like a holiday or something on the underside of a tin?

I'm sure the people who've submitted these spoof lists are finding this truly hilarious.

Makes this whole list pointless, the organiser should have filtered out the spoofs. good job I lost interest two weeks ago, still not in the top 50??

Jopy of painting won't be on as a spoof, its a great 'relax' programme, I used to watch that first thing in the morning, I don't know why I don't even like painting, but the guy has one of these voices that just makes the entire worlds problems go away.

Yes!
Used to love attempting to watch this as a kid. I say "attempting" because I could never make it through an episode without falling a kip. His voice is just so soothing.

Bob Ross is an absolute legend. RIP.

Poor Rammy, everything he does he ends up getting it in the neck

One of mine I'm very surprised still hasn't come up yet, I mean its a fantastic show but didn't think people would've thought of it. Some of you have better taste than I give you credit for.
