If it's another ex-Grimsby, Andi Thanoj might not be a bad shout. That kid is crying out for regular first team football and if you could give him it, you'd have a good player on your hands.

Thanoj or Southwell could be good shouts, however Thanoj doesn't really fit in with the strong CM that Moyseses evidently wants.

Can't see it being the latter two - we've got four full backs as it stands (Bush, Miller, Beevers, Wood unless the former two are earmarked as CB's).

Hatton's been offered a new deal but still no news on whether he has accepted it or not.

For me, there's nothing to suggest that we have (there are rumours something *might* happen but nothing overly solid or ITK). The only rumour with a bit of substance is a Lincoln fan from over in South Africa who is a hedge fund manager investing the Director amount (£75k) to get onto the Board. He's friends with the Chairman and they holiday together over there.

At the minute, we don't appear to have signed anyone that's expensive. Two year deals raise eyebrows for some reason but we've been doing it for years and it's not unusual for us to pay a small fee for a player (Wood this season, Kabba last, Tomlinson before that). Our squad is still supplemented by 5 or 6 young lads and two players are transfer listed.

Moyses isn't taking a wage, so that is going back into the budget so that's a little extra to play with. John Schofield's gone to York but I'm not sure whether he was taking much of a wage here in between jobs. The Club aren't helping out financially with the youth team from this season because they now fully fund themselves (average donation from the Club was £25k/year), so that might be another area.

If you've got money, you don't sign Chris Bush, Greg Tempest, Matt Rhead or hand another contract to Nat Brown IMO.

Someone on our forum has suggested Lincoln have offered a deal to Gary Roberts (The ex Crewe, Vale & Mansfield one), although his preference is apparently us (He's from Chester), but we're reluctant due to all of the baggage.

Don't know how credible it is though.

Personally wish Roberts would of worked out, he was way too good for the conference, he could of easily played in a decent league 1 team. Can remember one of his goals he scored, 30-40 yards out takes the ball off a player trying to do stepovers and just hammers it straight into the bottom corner, unbelievable jeff! Shame he couldn't sort himself out and we sent him on loan to some club in Malta.

Barrow fans getting restless because of no news, not even any believable rumours to speak of. Management are doing UEFA badges and then holidays, so there likely won't be any announcements til July. People seem to be suggesting that means we'll be picking up players who are under contract, rather than those released or unattached.
Chairman has said we'll be looking at players from Championship down - which most likely means a kid or two from Preston, where we've got a bit of a link going. Also, Barrow-born left-back Ben Davies is touted, but will probably look for league football.
Marcus Carver is possibly coming from Accrington, but they've offered him a deal so a fee will be involved.
A keeper is a probability - obviously we've had the Russell link on our forum, and others saying a young lad from Sunderland who impressed against us for Boston (name escapes me). No word from management though.
Anyone want to throw some names in the hat?

The Keeper you refer to from Sunderland could well be Jordan Pickford. A very good keeper.

The keeper is Joel Dixon released by Sunderland had a worldy at ours while out on loan to Boston Utd! Played under our manager when he was Workington boss hence the rumours.
