Thanks Carlisle! Gonna be a huge ask for Cheltenham to catch us now with them being 8 points behind us with 15 left to play for. Could do with Peterborough doing us a favour tomorrow now please.

We had no shots on target. In a must win home game against a team already relegated. A full blown disgrace and I'd happily be shot of the lot of them this summer.

I know it's unfortunate that Orient had to play the last 15 with ten men, but it would have been a travesty had we not got something out of that game. 16 shots to 3, though we wasted too many.
In shock news, we bring on a striker and he scores!
Still, unbeaten in 7 and mathematically safe

I noticed that. We'd be going nuts! Surprised that Clarke didn't manage to turn that game around.

I think all of us towards the bottom (except Cheltenham fans of course) are celebrating that Carlisle win!

Big win for Stevenage v Barnsley too, which is a fucker for Chelts, who face Fatboy’s warriors on the final day no doubt hoping SFC would have been on the beach by then…but that win keeps Stevenage in playoff contention.

I'll just be happy if we still have a chance by then tbh

Carlisle and WIN usually don't go in the same sentence together. A really good away win tonight I'm delighted and puts us on 30 points at least and still gives us a chance of not finishing bottom as we're just 4 points behind Fleetwood now.

So Cheltenham had nothing about them at all and are looking like they'll be joining us in L2.

To be fair he had some stinkers with us against struggling sides! Walsall at home for a start!

Feel for DC as would love to see us and Cheltenham both survive but it does feel like one or the other (or neither potentially) so that is a massive result for us, this little three game spell for Cheltenham probably dictates our chances as much as our own results.

Takes the pressure off tomorrow a bit but if we can get a win by hook or by crook (unlikely) then we'd take a massive step towards safety you'd think. Clubs down the bottom often get a shock result at this stage but oddly never seems to happen to us!

Got to hope as poor as Rovers are at the moment a huge away crowd and pressure on Taylor see's them put in more of an effort at the weekend.

If we dont stay up considering the help we've had from other teams poor runs then we've only ourselves to blame from this position with 3 winnable home games.

Carlisle will probably go and win every game now
Often happens when a side is dead and buried, pressure is off.

When we last went down from this level in 2008 we actually got relegation confirmed after picking up 10 points from 12! (shows how far off we were!)

Another two players carted off with injury for us. It never ends. That result basically secures 10th or 11th which is amazing from Wellens considering the shell of a squad he’s been working with. Apologies in advance to anyone hoping we might nick something at Derby.

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
Carlisle also ‘ironically’ finally have got the strike force they wanted in January tonight for the first time of course just after official relegation, they had 3 main forwards in for this season, one came just at the end of the first transfer window, got injured in first match and only came back into team tonight nearly 8 months later and the other signed in January got injured in training and only came into the side 2-3 games ago.

Defence wise Simpson has no excuse he’s had schoolboy defending all season and never brought in alternate options but he’s been cursed up front, finally had our strike force all in action over a match for first time tonight

Thought that was an odd game overall, Wellens experiment cost us the win in the end by subbing Beckles at half time - I saw him go over to the officals shake their hands and he indicated he was coming off so it was pre planned.

Both sides very wasteful in the final third - nothing new from us, we just over do it a bit and don't force as many shots and chances as we should. First half very even I thought, scored a lucky goal but the Exeter keeper got caught in no mans land I thought.

Second half as we do we tend to coast when we lead and nothing happens in the game, punished Exeter for a bad error playing out from the back, seemed settled then Cooper went off injured, we've used all our subs and down to ten men and in the end if it wasn't for Brynn in goal we'd probably have lost the game.

Wellens has used that formation twice this season with us down to ten men and we've crumbled both times and never looked comfortable, so will be interesting to see if he uses it again. In the end IMO he took the experiment a bit too far in the end. Our players were out on their feet by the end.

Cheltenham will demolish us. 1 point in 7 games and 0 goals scored. Our only chance is if Taylor goes, but I honestly have no idea what of I want tbh

No chance I fully expect Chelts to pick up 3 points against us. We cant score and always concede, if the season was longer we would be right in the shit.

You can only get 3 points if you score a goal. We don't even have shots on target, so unless your lad wants to put one in for us again, we've got no chance.

We were appalling last night and every single person at the club is at fault for it. The board for not having a back up plan for Mickey Moore going in the summer, letting arguably the best ever player go for a pittance in the summer, Darrell Clarke for trying a completely new formation in our biggest game of the season - including playing our best goal threat as a fucking holding midfielder, and the players for not being able to get themselves up against a team who had just been relegated and are literally rock bottom of the table.

Carlisle had more effort, more cohesion and more will to win. They actually looked like a team.

Last night was the absolute worst performance of the season. Worse than any of the games we failed to score in at the start of the season. There was so much more on that game last night and they bottled it completely.

We deserve to go down. This league is shite and we've more than added to that shitness. What's crazy is that if Vale lose tonight, it's still in our own hands. Unfortunately, we've got the grip of an arthritic 100 year old!!

Looks like Saturday will be a proper shitfest then. You cant 'not' score against us we just make it way too easy.
No wonder Matty Taylor is looking to make an appearance he is probably licking his lips at facing our defence (thats if snakes even have lips?)

Even that twat Barton is taking the piss now out of 'Rimmer' and his band of merry men. Ironic considering he signed most of them and didnt do a whole lot better with them

If we were able to get something tonight that would be huge in the circumstances. Peterborough I assume still have an eye on automatic promotion so they have to win the game which will put added pressure on them. For us our best hope is to try and keep it scoreless as long as possible and as they keep pushing maybe we hit them on the counter. Last nights results were a big boost but a heavy defeat tonight changes that again so expect a defensive approach from us.

Honestly, it's about time you rolled over for us for once. Always play like prime Messi-led Barcelona when you come to Whaddon Road.

Just seen that after today Wycombe have four successive away games, Saturday-Tuesday-Saturday-Tuesday, including Carlisle!

Good job they're safe.

We’re not mathematically safe yet (I think 3 points off it?) but unless Burton, Chelts and Vale mysteriously develop world-beating form then we should be ok.

I think we could pick up 6 points from the last 6 games.

If Posh are at their best, they'll beat us....they have a stronger squad with 3 or 4 players that could play higher.

We've got a couple of things to hope for. Firstly, will it be a bit of a comedown for them after Wembley? Secondly, will they look at this as a formality of a home win?

We've seen many times at this stage of the season how a team near the bottom pulls off a shock result. We're still shite but we're a bit less soft than we were a month or so ago.

I can quite safely say that will not be happening again on Sat, unfortunately. If it does you really are shit :bg:

Get to London Road and see both Grant and Lowe are in our eleven tonight. No need to run any slow motion replays with them fuckers I guess.
