No Baxter tonight by the sounds of it now too as he’s apparently fractured a finger. So no Santos and no decent gk. Our injury record this season has been horrific. Especially defensively
I think Baxter is the best keeper in the Division big loss................On the plus side we will have Gethin Jones and Thomason back and i expect Collins to start

It feels like a good time to be playing you despite your good form. Add in the wind and rain it's going to make it a difficult night for both teams.

Burton - Cheltenham just called off for waterlogged pitch. Their pitch was terrible on Saturday, so really no surprise it couldn't take any rain today.

Eventually we'll play Burton this season. Can only hope for some good results elsewhere.

Baxter starts… somehow!? But we’ve put a gk on the bench which we rarely do so he mustn’t be fully fit. Taylor and Toal fit. No Santos or Forrester. Bodvarsson not on bench, presumably injured too.

Think Toal is playing with injections. Because Geth is back he probably doesn’t want to risk Forrester yet. Delighted Baxter starts. Agree with you that he must be in contention for best gk in the division. Watching both week in week out I think he’s better than Trafford was for us last season which is maybe a bit controversial. Trafford has a higher ceiling for sure and was phenomenal but think Baxter is playing in the prem in a couple of seasons if he stays fit.

Two changes in defence with Smith and Iacovitti rightfully dropped. Been complete liabilities for a long time now. Lopata makes his debut so look forward to seeing him not least he looks a right hard bastard. Conor Grant also dropped and he can’t really have many complaints.

Also got Dan Jones back on the bench tonight so all of a sudden Crosby leaves and he is back in the squad :pond:

Our side was picked tonight by a selection of club staff! Assume that means Flickers!

Some of the poor performaners drop out and huge boost Ojo back after 2 months.

Grant dropped for 17 year old Jack Shorrock who makes a third career league start.

Smith dropped for Lopata.

Happy with the line up aside from id have gone Wilson through the middle and Meighton behind.

See what happens.

Weather looks horrendous and pitch very wet. Water is slowing the ball down. Hopefully doesn’t end up like Plymouth a few seasons ago

Players have gone off. Wouldn’t mind but I’m soaked after queueing to get in! I don’t think the rain will ease so I don’t think this will restart

Yep it’s awful, now play is suspended I can’t see the players coming back out unfortunately, feel for all the fans that travelled.

Players will have to warm up again etc too, I can’t see it continuing. There is a lot of water coming off the brushes as they try and get rid of the water on the pitch

Yes I saw that. In front of me there are puddles in front of the Habbin (side opposite the tunnels). I can’t see it restarting. Feel sorry for the Bolton fans who have travelled and I hope we do something (not sure what) for them when this is rearranged as it’s a fucking long way on a Tuesday night.

No Blame what so ever on the Cambridge ground staff. Pitch looks in good nick just the amount of water getting on to it

Not sure I want it to restart. With us passing out from the back in this. Surely common sense would be to go a bit more direct. Nearly caught us a few times as the ball was slowing down

Think this amount of rain would kill off most pitches. You remember the Bolton game against Zenit St Petersburg in the UEFA cup at our place. Ball wasn’t moving at all. Players were just flicking it between them. They couldn’t abandon it because of how far Zenit and their fans had travelled

Why do Vale fans complain about refs so much?
He's missed some blatant fouls on Ruel and just awarded them a goal kick after their keeper saved a goal bound effort.
Strange stuff.

Some strange decisions going against us tonight but that notwithstanding we should be out of sight already. Ripley having a very good game in the Vale net. Think we all know where this goes in the second half.

Utter dogshit, about the only good thing is its level.

Loft playing like a competition winner. Lopata done well and Ripley in goal has too. Slim pickings otherwise.

Don’t think much can be read into it but ex-Lincoln Mark Kennedy is at the game apparently. If this bunch of losers don’t put him off I don’t know what will.

Oh look we are losing. No complaints, stupid penalty to give away and they are pressing well. But we had a glorious chance to equalise and fluffed in.
Still no first half goals since August...

He missed a couple for us, seems very lenient this referee. Was a corner though.

Not much in it, they’ve forced a couple of saves all be it fairly routine and Shorrock one for us. Whisper it quietly but Loft is having a very good game… just needs Wilson to read it as he’s winning everything in the air.
