Last week was a nice bit of hope for us as it let us forget how bad we are but it didn't take long to remind us again. This isn't the worst we've played by any stretch but I'm looking at our team and I am seeing a severe lack of talent, which isn't even replaced by hard work. We just have so little to offer.

Some big developments coming in as some fans are apparently grabbed and shoved by police for absolutely no reason other than attempting to return to their seats.

Oh and it's 2-0 and we're still dogshit.

We've got to be favourites to go down, surely? It's not even like we're a decent team under a bad spell. This is honestly looking worse than when we got relegated. No talent, no fight, nothing.

I think enough people are convinced that Slade needs to go and that Fenty needs to fuck off with him. Would have never believed a year ago that we'd be in this position.

I hope Mansfield fans don't take too much from this game as you've just faced one of the worst sides you'll play all season.

Going down and you all know it. Looking at your starting XI it's just a team of misfits. 50 points is totally unrealistic.

Early days we're playing well and everyone's pulling in the same direction. You're only 3 points behind Luton, how do you see that one panning out...

Love how Lincoln are so massive lol.

Happy with the result, pretty much ran the show after the opening goal. Dembele was the best player on the pitch by some margin.

Starting to kick into gear hopefully.

Feel so desperately sorry for Dembele, trying to carry a team at that age.

Green sent off for Lincoln, second bookable offence. Will he miss the game next week?

He bambozzled our defence throughout the game, he was brilliant

Nope, we have a game Tuesday, wanted to be fresh for Saturday.
We're level with 10 men and nearly took the lead...

I haven't looked at The Fishy, no doubt it's in some kind of hysterical Slade-out meltdown.

If you look at the game with logic rather than emotion. We conceded from 4 set pieces. Defensively very poor from a corner and free kick. Angol was a handful and made both penalties. That was the difference between the teams, Hooper was back to being mentally and physically absent after a good show last week. The Midfielder Formerly at York is not up to the task of being one of two in central midfield in a 4-4-2. Jones came on too late but looked lively - he is excellent- he wanted the pen and wasnt letting anyone have it. He needs to start every week. We need to replace MFAY with Clements and then Osborne when fit, or even play Jones as a box to box midfielder and put Mann up front with Vernon.

That's good news. If Green's playing it'll be a better game.

2-1 now. That would be a great result for you guys.

Jones, Jayisemi (sp) and a different striker must start next week. Vernon, Hooper, Woolford, Berrett and Dixon were all fucking useless. Dembele was his usual self. Mansfield were very divey first half and the ref missed two handballs for us in the second half.

Angol was extra divey but caused problems. Pearce was brilliant but apart from that Mansfield were quite ordinary. Dominated us in the air and limited us on the floor. Thought 4 goals flattered Mansfield and 1 goal flattered us. Also, Conrad Logan was terrible.

Also, ridiculous police overkill. Maybe 200 in total from the ground to the train station. I doubt there would've been trouble anyway, but when they stand in front of people blocking their view, it just goads them. They're not learning.

We have played much better than that so far this season on nearly every occasion, yet it's our most convincing scoreline!

We'll sign him in January and they can have CJ haha

Grimsby are terrible but won't go down, Chesterfield and FGR are far worse.
We looked good when we had a bit of confidence, on paper were a frightening team and its a matter of time before they all click and we start to punish teams.

Onto the next one!

Grimsby had a good spell in the first half at 0-0 and looked reasonably good but they needed to make it count with a goal. It would have been a different game. Our two centre backs were awesome today and, in the second half, there was only one team in it. I think there were signs of the good team we will be in the near future. Grimsby should put this down to experience and move on as I think they will still finish in a good position.

Just seen the goals and I think all 3 pens are soft as shit, chucking themselves on the floor after minimal contact.
Not disguising the fact that we were turd of course.

Id be slightly concerned if i were a Grimsby fan. Whereas that's going off one game, they seemed poorly organised, and somehow we found a goalkeeper who caused as much self inflicted chaos in his own area as our own.

The tactics appeared to be pass the ball to dembele (which to a degree made sense, he was undoubtedly the best player on the pitch today and was easily the MOM) and to hope for the best.

4-1 was a flattering scoreline for us, but grimsbys defence imploded. All 3 penalties looked correct but soft. Annoyed about the senseless over policing of the game, the police have got the club over a barrel and it causes problems for everyone.

From our perspective it appears we seem to be slowly (cautiously) kicking into gear. The 2-2 with Luton didn't reflect how utterly dominant we were in that game. To be knocking along at 2 a game - while scoring in all 6 is encouraging.

Wycombe at home will be tough as akinfenwa will look to expose confusion in our defence and keeper (maybe diamond might be back for this) and then the worlds biggest club in the world in Lincoln next Saturday

Yeah maybe Diamond might be..possibly perhaps.

Worlds biggest club in the world? That must make us England's biggest club in England as well then. Great stuff.
