I actually think we've caught this game at the right time, with Hogan and Macleod on form, and Egan and Dean mopping up every physical battle they come into, we could do well here. Gonna go for us nicking it 2-1.

Need to win today and then on Saturday. Without that second goal we are prone to fucking it up like we normally do.

It's on radio 5 live. We have gone to sleep since scoring and Brentford are threatening .

Fully deserved, get in. John Egan is awesome, what a steal he was.

Great performance, easily could have had all 3 points.

Congrats Brentford

also just plucked this from the birmingham mail.
Fucking hell lol
Aston Villa have now chucked away nine points from winning positions so far this season.
Had Villa held on to win all the games in which they were in front then they would have 16 points.

:ffs:

Another stat that has come out tonight, Villa spent more on transfer fees this summer than Brentford have in our 126 year existence combined.

I was playing in a pool match not a million miles from VP last night, after the game a few Villa lads came trudging back in and the first murmurs of discontent with the manager were apparent, they weren't happy with the starting line up, the formation, or his subs/tactics in the second half. I personally still think they'll come strong at some point and will definitely finish in or around the top two spots but am currently enjoying their realisation that the Bristol Cities, Brentfords, Huddersfields etc at home are not actually the home bankers they might of expected.

Hogan had a goal ruled offside for this. Should have been three points, ah well.

Think he'll have a fair few this season unfairly chalked off offside. He times his runs so well but officials below the PL struggle to spot it correctly.

That's a damn good through ball to get him in from that position!

Dr. Xia Jiantong (Tony) PhD, Professor, Entrepreneur and Genius Billionaire has sent out a Tweet asking for ‘constructive suggestions'

If Villa are still languishing in the bottom half and lose to us on October 30th, Di Matteo will surely be gone?

RDM had got the tactics wrong numerous times so far this season, but I'm still confident he will get it right. I'm still saying playoffs.

I do think he is (unfortunately) on borrowed time already. Reckon he'll be gone before the Blues game if things aren't sorted soon, El Guapo, so don't get your hopes up too high yet.

The fans are not helping. I know the last 6 years have been horrid but already some are getting on the teams back. Who do we replace him with? Let's not be like Leeds and keep sacking managers.

No clue mate, I'm not advocating his sacking. I was underwhelmed by his appointment, but he needs time to turn this shit around, last season was horrid, we were never going to hit the ground running after a season like that.
