Looks for all the world like a home banker, but there's always that Mick Mcarthy element and it's not often we beat his sides.

That said one day soon we're going to put all of them chances away we're creating in games and somebody is going to be on the wrong side of a hiding, i've got a sneaky feeling it might be Saturday.

Wednesday 5-0 Ipswich (Forestieri x2, Fletcher, Hooper, Hutchinson)

1-1 the last four times we've played at Hillsborough , I'd take that again this time. Expecting to lose though, 2-0.

Great win for us, hopefully a sign of improvements to come. Sounds like the right mix of resilience with a few key moments of quality.

Good performance that, think we deserved it & didn't think Wednesday looked like a side who will challenge this season, similar to us.

Positive selection & changes from Mick too, credit where credit is due.

Yep, I was expecting to go back to a more defensive lineup but I'm pleased we didn't. Hopefully this will show Mick that we can win games with attacking players. . .

Well that was dreadful, boring game, as bad as I've seen us in a while barely created a chance against a piss poor side, we're really not getting the quality out of the squad we have and something needs to change

Absolute garbage yesterday, Ipswich had nothing going forward and were there for the taking, sadly we weren't much better and we're left to rue that early missed chance in the second half. The problems are clear to see, and it all comes down to a lack of pace, all too one dimensional and not enough cutting edge. It's all well and good having the vast amount of possession but passing it backwards and sideways across the back 4 all game is useless, it's frustrating because we have players capable of cutting defences apart. We're not a million miles off so talk of getting rid of Carlos is premature, but we need to improve and January recruitment is going to be key for our season, either that or getting Marco Matias fit for a change as at least he possesses a bit of pace and can beat a man.

Hate it when people post stuff like this, can see why others think we are arrogant and your almost guaranteed to end up with egg on your face. Think it maybe but please don't post it.

After all the pre-season hype from Wednesday fans due to there summer spending spree, Owlstalk has become my favorite forum to read. Truly marvelous read and nothing excites me more than moanining and sulking from Yorkshire folk. Lovely stuff

Don't post your opinion? We'd been creating alot of chances and Ipswich had been woeful in general, yes i was wrong on the result spectacularly but it doesn't change how i thought before the game and if i want to post it, i will

In fairness I understand what your saying and enjoy reading your pre match prediction's. Just think putting expecting us to win 5-0 leaves you open to looking silly in hindsight, think Sernwa did something similar pre Barnsley Rotherham match. As you say it's your opinion your entitled to it, just if it was me expecting us to win 5-0 I wouldn't post it, would post I expect us to win but wouldn't predict 5-0. Suppose you could say you've got the courage to make your prediction. Must admit as soon as soon as I saw the 5-0 I winced and thought knowing us that will comeback to haunt us.

He's left because we're half decent this year and Rotherham are beyond wank.
