HHH has just tweeted that Dusty Rhodes has died. Hopefully he's been hacked. :err:

It's on WWE.com as well :(

Must admit I've never seen most of his work, and I see a lot of attitude era wrestlers who don't seem to think much of him as a booker, but the guy had a really distinctive voice and could cut a promo as good as anybody.

Shame. Wow, Christopher Lee, Fagan and Dusty Rhodes in one day.

So saddened by this despite him not being my era. Always loved seeing him in guest spots and on panels etc.

Rollins was superb on Raw, great opening promo and throughout the night with Kane and others was great then his selling at the end when THE BEAST returned was perfect. Decent Raw all in all, Owens taking out that rapper guy was enjoyable and good match with Ziggler. Ryback is also very entertaining as champion. Wyatt promo was a little more interesting than normal but not enthused for this feud, their in ring chemisry isnt great either, hopefully they can step it up but seems these guys are just interchanging, Wyatt will lose AGAIN, then probably move on to Orton, Sheamus will then probably switch to Reigns,

Lesnar.

Shame they're doing the match at Battleground but think it's 'cause he's doing the Japan show at the start of July so needed a reason for him to come back before then.

Owens powerbombing MGK off the stage was the RAW highlight of the year, probably won't be beaten either.

Reigns has been put into yet another heatless feud. You'd think putting him in matches with Sheamus and a feud with Bray Wyatt in unison would hopefully act as a double negative, but it's just fucking poison. If Reigns beat Wyatt after two other matches then why should I be excited to see this? This is a feud between two guys that could be legitimate, mainstay stars for the company, but have been sabotaged by Vince Mcmahon so bad that they'll be the exact same as Sheamus; unrecoverable. They have Luke Harper and Dean Ambrose doing nothing, make this a tag match.

Kevin Owens would benefit from having a week where he betters Cena on the mic. They're even in wins but Cena has destroyed Owens every single time on the mic.

I should know better, but I'm genuinely interested in The Big Show embracing this gimmick of being part of the old boys' club that doesn't want to step aside. Ryback was also awesome this week. This is the most interesting story going on in the company.

'ahem' New Blood Vs Millionaires club 'ahem' I thought WWE NEVER copied any ideas :fish:

to be honest if they re-hashed that it would be a good one to re-do, its a great concept but got knackered in WWE due to Russo's OTT ways and the massive political backdrop of WCW...the idea though of an old guard of has-beens not letting new guys push through is a good one.

Brilliant ending to Raw again this week. Lesnar is just gold. Rollins is playing the cowardly champion fantastically too.

Apparently Noble broke three ribs during that final segment.

Really?
Cena with his 'some y'all like me, some y'all don't, this belt is about oppourtunity, kevin owens isn't a real man' promo that he's cut every week since Owens came on the scene?
Kevin Owens is the most dynamic character WWE has had in years. A heel who is a family guy who does everything he does for his wife and his children.

I really enjoyed the ending. Kane's out of the blue chokeslam when Lesnar was looking like he was going to take him apart was probably my favourite bit. Strongest Kane has looked for a long time there in just a single moment.

Agreed they rebuilt Kane in that one segment alone. However I do wonder where Kane will fit into play heading into Summerslam.

Cena's been using the same promo for 5-6 years because it works. He is the master of delivery. Owens has been strapped with the rocket so I'm not complaining, he's been murdered every time of the mic in this feud with Cena though. It's the way their conversations have been booked, Owens says something, Cena shuts it down and then Cena's music hits after his impassioned sign off before Owens has a chance to retort. It leaves Owens stood there like an idiot.

I thought it was a bloody awful Raw, the match quality was horrendous.

The Rollins/Lesnar storyline development was one of a very few okay things to happen.

I don't bother watching all of Raw anymore, I just read about what was good in the show and go back and watch those bits.
WWE are still great at putting together a good wrestling PPV, but the weekly tv productions they put together are pretty lame right now.

Pretty much agree with this, I skip the majority of things, joys of watching it online haha. NXT is about the only one I watch from start to finish at the moment.

The NXT Specials are my absolute favourite thing at the moment. 2 hours of great wrestling, booked right and in front of a great crowd. I'm massively looking forward to that NXT Special in Japan on July 4th. It's going to be absolutely brilliant and unique due to the crowd.

Is that just a NXT special as isn't Brock Lesnar scheduled to appear on the Japan Show?

Why are they making a big deal out of this Japan show anyway, why Japan? Don't mean that in a critising way just wondering?

Going back to Raw, one thing I am starting to warm to is Sheamus new role as a heel, the "are you not entertained" shout half way through a match is fantastic.

I was debating going to Raw in Manchester in November but think I'll save my money, imagine paying good money and getting a show like Monday served up with Adam Rose featuring in the last match. I know they have a dark match after to make it better but still should be able to conjur up something a bit better than Ziggler/Rose in a "who is the better couple" angle.

i'm going to take my lad to his WWE tv taping in Manchester, probably pick Smackdown though as it's more wrestling based and less 'watch this guy in the ring talk for 20 minutes'. Plus the Raw taping seems to take forever. Those damn 3 hours.

Japan is a huge wrestling country, however the style is completely different to WWE and American wrestling, hence why it's usually ignored by WWE tv. The crowd get really into the match and are basically silent throughout. Not in a horrible 'this is boring' way, but a 'we are studying this match' kind of way. They applause good moves, they really get into the show. And the show being headlined by a guy (finn balor) who was absolutely huge in Japan for years fighting to win a title off Kevin Owens should really draw in a great atmosphere.

Fair enough thanks for the explanation.

Yeah I debated Smackdown as there are a lot more tickets available in decent seats, majority of Raw are up in the gods and not sure if it would be a good view or not.

Owens vs Balor in Japan for the NXT Championship is going to be MASSIVE. Devitt was huge in Japan no doubt about that. I believe Owens hasn't done anything in Japan so would be new for him.

I prefer seats up in the gods, you get a much better view of the action and everything in general. If your on the floor and not in the first few rows (and not 6 foot odd), it sucks. Probably best seats you can get are in the first 10 rows of the risers side on to the ring. but that's just my opinion

For Raw in San Jose the day after Wrestlemania I was actually in the very back row of the lower risers and I thought that the view was superb, better than I thought it would be. I think that generally, so long as you're side on, you can't really get a bad seat.

the key for a live show isn't 'being at the back' its being careful to be sure you can see the Titantron.

been to many a show at Manchester and the view at the very back is great......no problems with it. but I did go to a live Raw show once and we were too far to the side, great for the ring, but any segments we could only hear than see.

although being on back row you could as such run along the back to get a view.

Looking at booking Raw tickets tomorrow, the choices are pretty limited and its between upper tier at the side near the corner not camera side third row (front row was available yesterday but has now gone) or in the middle (in line with stage etc) upper tier but near the back (back row is available), not sure which would be best? Both tickets are same price.

Any advice would be appreciated, been to Manchester Arena before but never for WWE.

Edit: I've inserted the diagram I sent to my friends, the red is obviously side view and the blue the middle.

The blue arrows are similar to the seats I had at the O2 in London for Raw last year. Great view. Bit steep and high, but it won't be as high in the Manchester Arena I think. You get a view of the ring, ramp, entrances and titantron. That's pretty decent.
