Raw was quite good this week and I thought Battleground was really solid too. Hopefully a sign of improvements. Raw was only 7% up in viewing figures this week with Undertaker on the show. People don't seem to be that bothered he's back.

Dave, I wouldn't say that they need to dig out the likes of Lesnar/Taker and what not... they simply do it because it's a great idea. If you're WWE and you can bring in a guy like Brock Lesnar, you'd be crazy not to. I think it's more a case of just being a good decision all around than doing it out of desperation.

There isnt much more scope in Rollins in this heel role for me, hes pretty much out of faces and interesting matchups unless someone like Cesaro got a push.

My god that'd be sweet. Cesaro has really stepped it up as of late (even by his incredible standards) and certainly deserves it... will WWE see it that way, too? It's about time they tested him at a main event level.

Far be it from me to defend Hogan, but it's hardly a "racist tirade"...

I think if he just quoted what Booker said it wouldnt have been as big of a deal but to then say I said it/say it all the time and dont see why I cant if he can say it to me, I think thats where the huge issue is. I think its been overblown sure its certainly not a rant or tirade but definitely inappropriate and suggestions he uses it all the time well thats the problem and in the current world we live in for WWE you can see why hes been released, removing all reference to him is a bit overboard.

Are you seriously telling me that had WWE not been drawing their worst viewing numbers since 1996 that they would certainly have brought out Undertaker and Lesnar right now and wasted that feud in July??

Lesnar and especially Taker have came back solely down to massive dwindling numbers, the big thing is they need to find a way for others to draw better.

I don't think this is the interview that he is in trouble over. Apparently it was an interview or conversation with a woman he was filmed having sex with a while back that had lead to this.

Apparently

Hogan made the comments to Heather Clem, the woman who was married to Bubba the Love Sponge, the same woman Hogan was secretly filmed having sex with in 2012. Hogan was reportedly mad at his daughter Brooke, who he accused of sleeping with a black man.

"I guess we’re all a little racist," Hogan said on the tape.

"She is making some real bad decisions now," Hulk said, sources tell Radar Online and The Enquirer. "My daughter Brooke jumped sides on me. I spent $2-3 million on her music career, I’ve done everything like a jackass for her.”

Hogan continued, "The one option Brooke had, Brooke’s career besides me, is [to] sell beach records."

Hogan also talked about how a "black billionaire guy" had offered to fund Brooke's music career.

"I don’t know if Brooke was f*cking the black guy’s son," Hulk said, the sources add.

"I mean, I don’t have double standards. I mean, I am a racist, to a point, f*cking n***ers. But then when it comes to nice people and sh*t, and whatever."

According to their sources, Hogan also said: "I mean, I’d rather if she was going to f*ck some n***er, I’d rather have her marry an 8-foot-tall n***er worth a hundred million dollars! Like a basketball player! I guess we’re all a little racist. Fucking n***er.

If he said that then... well no defence

I dunno, to me it's sort of like... back in 2002/03 or whatever it was, they brought in the likes of the nWo and Goldberg. And that was purely done because it was a good decision on paper. They certainly didn't need them back then. And if it helped with viewing figures, great!

It's like, if Messi's contract ran out right now, Real Madrid would absolutely look to snap him up. They don't need him, sure... but it'd be too good to refuse.

He's also admitted it now:

People Magazine spoke with Hulk Hogan today about the racists statements attributed to him earlier today. He told them, "Eight years ago I used offensive language during a conversation. It was unacceptable for me to have used that offensive language; there is no excuse for it; and I apologize for having done it. This is not who I am. I believe very strongly that every person in the world is important and should not be treated differently based on race, gender, orientation, religious beliefs or otherwise. I am disappointed with myself that I used language that is offensive and inconsistent with my own beliefs."

It's clearly something that's been written for him by his manager/PR team or whatever he has.

Good, fuck him. His entire career and existence has bored me senseless, there's nobody more delighted than me that we might never see him again.

Hulk Hogan, we comin' for you...

Quite. The company is built off exploiting racial stereotypes for storylines and feuds (and ultimately financial gain). Not quite as bad as it was in the 80's with the likes of Papa Shango, Roddy Piper, Tatanka, Akeem, Kamala and that awful Sgt. Slaughter/Iraqi looking guys with tea towels on their heads angle they had going during the war. Muhammad Hassan came pretty fucking close though. That they aired his terrorist bit on the day of the London bombings is just sad.

Also, Hogan is a c***.

Hogan or whoevers controlling his account is having an absolute nightmare on Twitter, people sending in photos in support to Hulk with randomers uploading pictures including Drake, Rio Ferdinand, Welbeck, Wilshire, Katie Price and the list goes on. Quite funny if not a little wrong.

It has to be Hogan, surely nobody in a position to run a Twitter account is stupid enough to fall for it.

So fucking funny tho.

That was possibly the worst Raw I have ever seen.

Opening segment of Raw was a bit meh, just get on with it already right?

Show vs Ambrose was fun. Show has been built up nicely again and Ambrose refused to give in so it was all good for him too. Plus Ambrose side stepping Shows attempt at the spear through the barricades awesome stuff.

Neville vs Fandango was what it was. Stardusts promo had a major hint of Dusty in it which was brilliant, even if it was all a bit of a headscratch to Neville.

Paige vs Banks was the best divas match i've seen in a while. These girls all know how to work with eachother and to put on an excellent match so it's nice to see they're actually getting the time to show how well they can work. Props to WWE for that.

Rusev/Summer/Lana segment less said the better really.

Lucha Dragons vs Los Matadores was ok I suppose. I guess we're heading towards a triple threat/fatal four way down the line, i'm ok with that.

Wyatt promo was standard Wyatt stuff. Was expecting Reigns to attack ah well.

Divas Tag wasn't a patch on the singles match but still the Divas are getting more in ring time so that's only good for the division.

Orton vs Owens wasn't that bad, it served it's purpose at the end of the match too. Cesaro flying over the top rope onto Owens haha.

Main event I really enjoyed. Cena is going to be bruised for a few weeks but that happening adds to the feud at the inevitable match at Summerslam so i'm happy with that. I would have preferred to see them do a Cena invitational and Rollins costing him the match but that's my only gripe.

Very good Raw overall.

Ratings are down? Put Cena in the main event and have him tap the champion out. Next, have the same match we've just seen at Summerslam. Cesaro, Owens and Rusev can get lost in the shuffle.

The only good thing on the show was that top rope suplex roll through into a Michinoku Driver. That was insane. Tonight was a reminder of how exciting Rollins can be, shame he's been booked worse against Cena than Kevin Owens has.

I could clearly visualise the stonking hard-on Vince had in the back as he told JBL to call Cena 'one tough son of a bitch'.

Rusev's fish gift would have been funny without the Lana punchline.

I thought it was a very good Raw besides Cena continuing his dominance streak tapping out the World Champion, its just unbelievable, its the strongest Cena booking in quite a number of years and its 2015. Paige/Sasha was good, like how Sasha is being built so far, I thought the Rusev segment was great, Rusevs bringing the jokes recently, I think we will get him vs Ziggler separate to Owens and Cesaro which I'm cool with. I just hope we dont Owens/Cesaro one on one until Summerslam but likely they will trade victories before the big decider. I liked Owens/Orton before the interruption. Matadores/Luchas was actually a pretty damn good match, just hard to get into with the distracting commentary by Titus repeating everything and talking crap for 10 minutes. I enjoyed Wyatt/Harper promo also without the usual Reigns run in and Ambrose/Show was actually pretty decent. There was no filler and each segment had a purpose and build the storyline.

Cena won't wrestle for a few weeks due to the recovery from his nose surgery.

I can see him being available for Summerslam in a face mask probably. He'll also be appearing on Raw on the reg' as well cutting promos leading up to his big WWE Title Match. Personally I think it's a perfect chance for him to lose the US Title just before Summerslam. The Monday before the show, have HHH schedule a US Title match between John Cena and Kevin Owens. Cena says he's not medically cleared but he's a fighting champion and he'll fight with a mask on. Then give them 20 minutes to tell a great story in the ring (and be uber careful with his injury) and have Owens come out with the title. Gives Cena a good reason to lose the belt and possibly win it back after Summerslam. Gives Owens the title and another prize to fight for if he faces Cesaro at Summerslam (I personally believe Owens and Cesaro can continue the excellent US Title run).

The whole US title story (if that's what you call it) is good with Cena, Owens, Cesaro and Rusev all in the picture. I don't understand why they don't do the same with the IC title, Ryback just bores me, especially with Big Show as the no1 contender, I like Miz but his gimmick is to basically make him look like a laughing stock so nobody takes him seriously. They should stick the belt on Ambrose or something and get a good feud going.

They were with Daniel Bryan but he got injured again.
